scrotum cysts

I have to say, i am so relieved to have found this forum. Like almost everyone else, I've had a bunch of these little bastards since i was a teenager. I'm 27 now and I've been to a couple doctors and they've all said the same thing...it's not contagious or cancerous, but there's nothing you can really do about them. So far my condition hasn't affected my sex life. In fact I've had girlfriends, and never actually had to tell them anything. I don't know how they wouldn't notice, maybe they just didn't care. Maybe it's more common than we think. Regardless, they are still embarrasing and gross. I recently broke up with my girlfriend of 2 years, and am ready to get myself back on the market. This has caused me to renew my efforts in searching for an answer.

All in all I have about 30-40 of these things, all relatively small. I recently grew a pretty big one though that is almost the size of a marble. I recently went to a dermatologist who said he could cut one or two out and have it be covered by insurance, but anymore would be out of pocket and excessive. He also said I will have stitches for a week or two that I would need to have removed. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like paying for this procedure yet, maybe if I was unable to find an alternative. Plus, I don't like the idea of stitches on my boys. So again I was lost, only to then come across this forum. If anything, at least now I know there are options.

After reading all posts on this topic, I've decided to go with the "self surgery" route. I've randomly cut out a couple of these before with a sewing needle, and it wasn't too bad. It seems that there are quite a few techniques that have been developed. I think I'm going to follow the advice of the poster who used the hemostat (locking forceps) and scalpel. I've found that if you don't have a medical supply store, they will sell the forceps at any fishing store. They are fairly cheap too. Instead of a scalpel, I may just use a razor blade or exacto knife of some sort. Did I just say I was going to take an exacto knife to my balls? I must be desperate. The heating pad method seems
like an interesting idea. But for now I am going to stick with this plan of attack. Anyway, I'm going to do a little more research to see if there is a way to bring the cyst to the surface, that would make things a little easier. My goal is to begin the procedure in the next couple of days. I figure I will probably do 10-15 the first round, and se how that heals before going for round 2. But I plan on fully detailing everything for you all in a post when I'm done. Hopefully it works for me and can help some of you guys.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I had 10 of these things removed 3 days ago. I went to the doctor and had it done....it took 30 min and did not hurt at all. The doctor stiched up the spots he went in on and in another week the stiches will be gone and good as new. I would recommend people go see a Urologist and get them removed rather than trying to do it yourself. Much safter and no PAIN they shot up the skin about 4 times so I couldnt feel anything but only the pince when he did it.

I had about 4 M+M size ones and 6 smaller sunflower seed ones...ALL GONE and good to go.... had them about 4 years now and was always worried about them.

wow thx much this works 100% for me, a bit of pain and blood then its all over. Within a few days it had totaly healed and if i get anymore i know how to get rid of them naw, so no more enbarassing thourts or moments anymore. I had 1 that hurt ALOT when i stuck a nedle in thow, but that has also gone so just bite down on something and go for it. GP said there is a risk of infection when doing this but if you keep very clean untill they have healed you should have no probs, i used some cream (for normal scrapes n cuts under a plaster) just for peace of mind. Hope this works for all and im glad some1 found a way to sort this out.

if they're small there really isn't too much of a reason to get upset..

for mine at least i've realized that even though there are quite a few of them, they really aren't as noticeable as i made myself think they were. people know their own body a lot better than someone else does, just cause you're aware of it doesn't mean others will be

besides it seems like this isn't entirely uncommon at all

Im 14 and have the same problem and I saw a doctor and he described it as spermectocule cyst and commonly the men that have it a high in testosterone and makes puberty accelerate slightly and can either go away after time or stay forever, but I heard if it starts to hurt or if you young like me and have it if you still have it when your past puberty see a doctor.

Hi everyone. Well I'm 23 and have had these scrotal nodule for about 5 years. I thought it was STDs at first but I was perfectly clean so I did my research via google images typinging in bumps or white bumps on scrotum and thus found a similar pic and read up on the defect and thus came upon this forum. I will say that for symptoms on these nodes are high itchy irritations which caused me to scrtch m. Scrotum to point of scraping my whole skin layer off and bleeding as well as the pain then would kick in, which in my case was relief because the itchyniss was too unbearble. I have over the years seemed to accumulate more in population and in small to medium sizes with about 50 of them. NOW listen this needle technical as well as a knife or blade seems less effective or rather too risky as apposed to what I have been doing which seems to be quick and efficient! Here it is buy a small pair of uticle cutters (they look like a small wire cutter) and simply directly over The top of a selected bump cut deep through the skin while holding pinch with your other hand above and below the bump. Make sure to pinch as hard as you can bear to cancelled out the pain your inflicting with the cutters and as well as holding the blood back long enough to get the hardened calcium deposit out. The hardened substance is usually attached to the wall of the gland below so make sure you get it all out. In some areas you may be able to pinch out the substance and what you are really pinging out is a newly forming nodule in liquidy form though once it's out it will solidify and crumble upon touch. As apposed to remedies that's where my greatest interest lies because they will simply grow back. But it's obvious by common sense a sweat gland of sort and it's also obvious that there's a blockage being made which creates these dang things so by either sealing the gland shut some how for good or some how preventing blockages so not to create these things I don't think anything else would work. I'm going to try and do another set of removals and maybe see if hi concentration of salt water soaking after the procedure for coupler weeks may help. Again if any successful story Repeling these nodules is out there please let me know!

I had a cyst for a couple weeks now, under my scrotum where the leg connects, have only had three but this one stayed for a couple weeks. i squeezed all of mine until they surfaced and eventually released. no idea if they will come back or not but it's an immidiate release.

im really worried about these lumps, im only 14 and ive had them sinse i was 12, they started out small and now they are getting larger. some of the smaller ones i can squeese the contents out of but if i try it on a larger one it gets inflamed and im only able to get a very small amount out if any and i this method is causing them to enlarge. one in particular gets itchy quite a lot and goes red and slightly inflamed if i mess with it. ive seen my doctor about them and the only useful thing h could tell me was that they're not cancerous which was relieving. but i still dont have any clear idea on what these are and how to deal with them other than the post you have sent out above that roughly maych what i have. can anyone help me please??? :'(

Are people on this thread mostly talking about Fordyce spots because i've had them for ages, never really cared because they're not that noticeble and I've never had a girl say anything. But i just found a larger one (size of a pea maybe) on my scrotum today and i'm pretty sure it's a cyst. I've had 2 before, on my actual penis near the base, but i just used a needle to pierce the skin and get rid of the pus. Don't really want to do that on this one because the skin is alot thicker and i can't seem to be able to get it far enough in without it really hurting. I was just wondering if many people here have had the same experience with Fordyce's Spots?

Just wanted to chip in my thoughts on this topic as I also suffer the condition. I'm 35 now and I've been dealing with this for many years. Here are my ways to deal with this nuisance.

I don't have the size of the sacs like some of you were describing. Most of mine are less than quarter size of a BB. I usually wait until they are ready, or surfaced, then I used the sterile scapel blade #15 (like a real surgeon, you can buy that on eBay for Vet use, but it's still better than HomeDepot Razor Blades) and just cut right on top the of sac deep enough to see the white sac then just squeeze the whole thing out from underneath and then rip the root out. It does not hurt as much when the blade is extremely sharp. The pain comes in maybe 10 secs later after you make the first cut. It's more of the thoughts of cutting your own scrotum that's bothering me more.

For the ones that are developing, sometimes they make my scrotum itch bad and lost many nights of sleeping. So I found out with extremely hot water from the shower head sooth the itchy just like that. Once you get use to the extremely hot water (you may want to adjust the water heater for your likeness) it feels good on the scrotum and I kinda got addicted to the pleasure of burning pain (of course not hot enough to really burn, but my legs looks red hot from the hot water alright).

I think it's testosterone that's fueling my sacs (per Wiki). I'm very sexually active and think about sex all the time (yes I'm happily married). So I'm thinking about winding down a bit to control that testosterone and maybe that would help.

I don't use any itchy cream or any kind because it makes it sticky and ended up bothering me more. No powder either to introduce more foreign matter to the region.

I have about 40 of these cysts but I have hundreds of smaller ones underneath the skin. I could spend all day popping these little ones, only sebum comes out. Can I send pictures to someone to look at. My dr. also said there is no cure, only removal and that it is not guarantee.

Hi, I'm a 21 year old male and have had this same problem for awhile. After finally going to see a dermatologist she told me what they were. I was told it would be dumb to get them removed. As you all know though, this is very embarrasing if trying to have sex with girls. I found this website and heard about people doing it themselves. So I was on a mission. I went to cvs got some rubbing alcohol, a sewing kit, and some paper towels. At first it was scary but it's really simple. I took the needle and ripped the skin in an X on the top. Then grabbed it from behind and squeezed really hard. It popped right out, I grabbed it and pulled it out. Done and done. It bled for a little bit but I bandaged I and put some neosporin on it. Don't give up if it doesn't just come out. So far I've removed the 2 biggest ones and intend on doin 2 more tomorrow till their all gone. It's not hard and is well worth it for this little problem to be done.

Would it be safe to do a marble sized Cyst myself. It's the only one I have and it's really embarrassing. Like many of you, the doctors won't remove it themselves. Are there any videos on the self procedure?
