The trick for me involved multiple things. First - COOLER SHOWERS. The hot water may not be making you itchy, but it can cause even the slightest dryness of skin that seems to irritate it, or clog it... thus cysts / acne (my acne is gone too :D). Secondly, DO. NOT. CUT. THE. HAIR. DOWN. THERE. At all. You want to look like a 70's porn star. Having hair down there helps to drain the pores, and has the side benefit of hiding any 'damage' if you want to call it that. It prevents too much friction from motion too, which seems to be a cause. 3rd, don't ITCH. No matter what the reason, do not scratch your scrotum. This is difficult but it definitely helps a lot. 4th, do NOT use creams. You think you're helping, but you're very likely just clogging the pores and causing more cysts.
This is a separate paragraph because of its importance - for me at least. No. More. Caffeine. None. Cutting caffeine out completely cleared up my acne, and has drastically decreased the cysts. I'd recommend this highly. (caffeine seems to cause excess skin oils / stress)
Finally, and the worst, you're going to likely have to remove the one you have. Previous posts have outlined that sufficiently, so go with that.

Hi, boys. I have read through this whole forum in search for answers for my boyfriend. I apologize if it makes you feel uncomfrotable that a girl has read about this, but I promise hearing about it doesn't bother me nor gross me out. My boyfriend is very bothered by his condition so I've done everything in my power to try and help him. This site has by far been the most helpful. So, to help you guys, as someone whose read thru the whole thing, I'll tell you what we're doing and how it's helping.
He's going to start taking Omega 3 fatty acids, he just started applying the vinegar and then, when it's dry, applying baby powder. And as soon as he gets a heating pad, he's going to start doing that every day. These seem to be the most reoccurring solutions of prevention that have had the bestfeedback about working. I would highly recommend these, especially if you're skeptical or scared of self-removing or even having a doctor do it.
I'll post again soon letting you know if these have worked. But here's another piece of advice, don't be afraid to tell your girl. She'll probably honestly be more angry that you weren't open from the beginning. He was very scared and grossed out to tell me, but if the girl loves you, she won't mind. I still go down on him just the same and our sex life hasn't changed at all. So, TELL HER. And if she chooses to leave because of her own selfish reasons, well, then she wasn't very worth it in the first place.
Hope all this helps, will post soon.

I wanted to comment on the summary though, as I think alot of potentially dangerous info is added, without any malice intended:
In summary, applying a 'hot pad' will do little to prevents cysts forming. Applying heat regularly will however lower sperm count, and potentially cause long term depletion of healthy sperm. Best avoided.
Self removal offers a very high risk of infection and scraring, leading to long term discomfort. I truly understand why some choose to go down this route, but again i think this is best avoided.

I'm glad this thread is still going. I've been on this thread a few times over the years hoping for a cure.
I am 20 and have had this problem since I was 13. I have probably 90+ tiny ones and 3 pea sized. Been to 3 doctors about it: a urogogist, dermatologist, and a physician. None have helped, and they told me to ignore it/it's no big deal.
I'm going to ignore those 3 doctors and start from scratch. I will post my progress on this thread as I go through doctors/procedures/surgeries/whatever, because I AM going to get rid of these things, hopefully permanantly. And hopefully soon, because I lose my health insurance in 4 months. Staying optimistic!
I will post my progress every week or two, hopefully it'll help someone.

hey i'm 13 currently and I have this same problem, they have the smae sensetive reaction as getting hit in the balls if they are hit. I have had these cysts since i was 7 or 8 and it still only brings the "pain if hit" problem, i was wondering if they can become worse?

Like I said I have like 100 of the dang things on my sack. Anyway he recommended I see a urologist and ask him about peeling back 2 big chunks of skin and removing them all at once.
So I'm making a urologist appt very soon and will post how that goes. Goodluck to me

Is surgical removal of these cysts covered by insurance? I'm just wondering if insurance companies would classify this as cosmetic and not cover it.

They are called sebaccous cysts, and are covered by your insurance. I had the procedure done in July, got rid of about 80 of them. I have some new small ones. The doctor says this is quite common.I think that this is someting I will have for a lifetime. It was still worth having the surgery.
