I want to say it's the fish oils that causes the odor, it usually occurs to me after I eat captain ds or seafood. The next day or a few days later. Just like onions when to u sweat it can secret through your glands I've noticed it with onions too I just make sure I wash extra good and wash up or Shower before leaving for work

I disagree with you..I am happily married for 15yrs and I have a clean bill of health but recently like the last 3 months or so was the first time for me experiencing the seafood odor after ingesting seafood(I am 41) but in the past I have heard several of older women speak about the odor coming back on them..no other time does my body give off such an odor other than when I eat seafood

I suffer from the same thing. Just recently. I ate all kinds of seafood for a whole week straight and yes there was a smell. I have not gone to a doctor's office but just took a week off from the seafood and everything is back to normal. I'm currently seeking things that will stop it from happening again because I love seafood and can eat it everyday but I don't want this problem. No I don't have any STI just been checked a week before my seafood week of eating. I have not even had sex in months so I trust it's not that. Also there was no change in discharge just a smell.

I do agree with this, that saying is true you are what you eat. And curry especially too much or alot, seeps through the pores and I am squeaky clean with no stds of any sort nor infections(itching, scratching, mysterious bumps/ breakouts), so with that being said for those of you jumping to conclusions and none of us are doctors. Get your facts straight before you make assumptions on what MIGHT BE =)

It is true eating fish can make some women smell

This is not a thing to worry about, if it lasts for a day, it's fine, it's just the smell of the urine. This is a similar thing with garlic for example, this is normal.

This has happened to me ever since I was young! I’ve never really told anyone about it and the people I have told have been very skeptical (thinking it’s just that I’m not clean or have an infection or something) but it’s nothing like that. I’ll have seafood and by the next day the smell is there, and it’s generally gone by the day after. There’s no weird discharge or itchiness, it’s really just a smell that happens after I eat seafood (never smells like that any other time) I think it’s similar to how drinking coffee regularly can make your urine smell like coffee, or asparagus gives pee a really strong smell... maybe it’s just one of those foods that’s so strong in scent that it makes some folk’s urine smell. I’ve heard lemon juice or cranberry juice works for this, I’ll be trying it soon!

This is normal. I experience the same thing. Every Friday my grandmother and I have Fish Fry Friday. Every Saturday we are both fishy. Every Sunday...back to normal.
