Hi yes.. It happens to me too.. Only when I eat raw food /sea food/eggs etc.. I realize I don't have this issue bein in a vegan diet. I had to figure out this issue myself because many people and doctors don't know about it. They will say it's some bacteria. Go on a strict vegan diet for 1 week and you will see that it goes away. Also research the term trimethylaminuria

It’s called TRIMETHYLAMINURIA basically some people’s body don’t make enough of the enzyme in their liver to break down the smelly component in some foods and it causes a vaginal odor sometimes it can even cause the odor when you sweat from your armpits all you have to do is Google TRIMETHYLAMINURIA And see if it matches up with you and also to feel more comfortable talk to your doctor about it it’s always OK to ask questions

Yes this is very true! I ate crab legs a couple of days ago and I noticed later that my vagina smelled like straight seafood. I don't have any STd's or any medical issues and my vagina was fine before that and it's fine now but during that time period of eating seafood it was horrible! I am getting older I'm in my forties and I'm just now starting to notice this problem. I've been eating seafood all of my life but maybe it gets worse with age??

So true! I just read that when fish die a bacteria grows in the flesh which causes the smell that gets worse over time and, it can be transferred to urine, and privates.
I also had a fish odor when drinking a lot of grape juice, which I read can also cause a fish odor. Weird.
Onions can make our underarms smell like onions. Some people are just very sensitive to these foods and should avoid them. I can eat fried/cooked onions, but not raw.

You are 100% wrong and *you* should do your research. Seafood can and does cause fishy odor in many women and men, especially the genital area and urine It can even suddenly become a problem in people who never had that problem before, especially near middle age. The problem is called *trimethylamine*. Look it up.

Yes. It’s actually a thing. There are articles on it. Don’t let these naysayers make you more self conscious. It happens to me when I eat tilapia. When I drink coffee my pee will smell like the coffee. Asparagus can change the smell of your urine as well.

Hi, guys.

You are right, seafood can sometimes cause an odor. When seafood is not fresh or has been stored improperly, it can develop a strong, unpleasant odor. This odor is caused by the breakdown of proteins and amino acids in the seafood, which produces compounds such as ammonia and trimethylamine oxide.

In addition, some types of seafood, such as certain species of fish, have a naturally strong odor that can be off-putting to some people. This odor is caused by a compound called trimethylamine, which is produced by bacteria in the fish's gut.

However, it's important to note that not all seafood has a strong odor, and when cooked properly, most seafood should not produce an unpleasant smell. If you are concerned about the odor of your seafood, make sure to buy it from a reputable source, store it properly, and cook it thoroughly to reduce any potential odors.

Take care!
