I had this same thing going on for months. I moved from NJ to OK, and it started when I started eating a healthy diet. I discovered that it was fruit that was causing this feeling in my throat. Anytime I ate any kind of fruit, I would feel for the rest of the day that something was stuck in the back of my throat. Not painful, but driving me CRAZY. A friend of mine, in passing, mentioned how he was disappointed he was allergic to bananas, that they caused his throat to itch, which made me realize this. I stopped eating fruit (mainly apples and bananas were what I ate) and it went away, I have not had it since I cut them out. It's very relieving. I guess it's an allergy, but I am going to tell my doctor about it at my physical. I am overweight, but otherwise healthy. Hopefully this will help someone out there going through the same annoying thing.

I have this same problem too. I have TMJ and I'm really hoping that's not what's causing my issues.

I had all these terrible symptoms of choking & feeling like food is stuck in throat. I read one solution about eating cheese which I dearly love & eat thru out the day. I quit that day & I am healed. I can't believe it but I thank God I read that solution & actually tried it. I feel like my old self again & really miss cheese but have no touched it in over 2 weeks.

I woke up last night July 21st 2013 with what felt like something was lodged into my throat. I suffered exactly the same symptoms as all of the others members here. I took two benadryl tablets and mixed a couple of tablespoons of baking soda and squeezed a lemon into a glass of tap water. I drank the entire glass while swishing into my mouth before swallowing. Something caused me to have a major bowel movements in the middle of the night but I woke up feeling 90% better. The only thing I have eaten that was different was some goat cheese, lactaid milk and some vietnamese food which was a first for me. I'm leaning more towards the goat cheese as of now seeing that another reader came to me that conclusion. I really hope that this helps someone as I was very concerned and was actually thinking of going to the doctor.

I've been under great stress and every symptom is true. I also get that pressure feeling in my stomach and the sound and feeling of wind/gas rising (even clicking in the throat) but have learnt this comes more from trying to over-swallow to clear what never clears. If you have this mostly at night but not so much in the morning or day, can swallow food fine, then it might be something like my condition.
Hope this helps a few!

I have had a similar issue for the last 2 years and was driving me crazy. Seen 3 Ent surgeons and they all said nothing. I'm a neurosurgeon in training and it really bummed me out. I was loosing hope and viola turns out I had a maxillary abscess secondary to an impacted tooth. Apparently 4 molar wisdom teeth appear at the age of 25-27 years and usually due to limited space become impacted causing apical tooth abscess and localised spread from there to the peritonsilar region causing the dysphagia. I have had my impacted tooth maxillar (upper ones) removed 3 days ago and am still to finish a course of antibiotics but man has it got better. I would recommend seeing a dentist who would order an x-Ray which shows if an abscess + impacted tooth is present. Simple investigation takes less than 10 seconds and could shed a lot of light. Hope this helps. P.S try to spread this message to the others as well.
Best of luck to u all.
