I have had very similar symptoms to this in the past. For all the folks out there that experience these symptoms only on the hands and feel it is likely dyshydrosis. Its a rare type of contact dermatitis affecting only the hands and feet. It is a type of contact dermatitis meaning when you come in contact with a substance it becomes irritated. Also can be caused by stress, allergies, ect. Some of the best tips i have to deal with it are. 1) avoid harsh soaps with a lot of chemicals/and scented. Aveno works best. All natural. 2) laundry detergents. Look for the type with no scent And all natural if you can. 3) the best thing would be a foot or hand soak with cold water and domeboro solution (available at walgreens) it really helps with the itch and will keep it away at night. In all reality understanding what triggers the symptoms of this and any type of dermatitis and working to minimize those things in your life will greatly help with the symptoms.

I have what seems to be an allergy to chicken. Whenever I eat chicken within about an hour my hands and feet are itching all over. There are no visual symptoms just itchy hands and feet. Now I can deal with avoiding chicken for the rest of my life it's not really a favourite food however recently I've been having the same reaction to pork, salmon, and ground beef. I'm running out of things to eat and if this gets worse I'm not sure what to do. Advice?

I had a bout of itchiness a few years ago following having shingles. My doctor said the illness had hammered my immune system and he prescribed anti histamine tablets that worked fine. It lasted for six months. I have just had an operation to remove my appendix and had three lots of anti-biotics. I have just started with itchy hands especially if I ring a cloth out. It seems to be triggered by pressure. the anti histamines are working fine. Hope this helps

Hello everyone

This Is Elzbieta

The etching comes from a sweeteners  additives in sodas and foods.

I'm on very restricted diet and can't use sugar so I use sweeteners , I use  Better Stevia Balance Zero Calories  for 2 days  in my fruit smoothie and for 4 days after I have that etching hands and feet .

I zero down to  Chicory Root that is use as a Inuline in foods.   I did stop using and the etching stop.

And, looks like if I dissolve 1 pocket  in a hot tea ( whole pitcher about 1,1/2 liter ) is OK , but in cold liquids  maybe doesn't  dissolves so good.

Good luck everyone.

have suffered from severe itching of palms and feet for past week. Just went to chemist and pharmacist
recommended POLARAMINE (ANTIHISTAMINE) and within 10 minutes all itching has ceased.

I would like to know as well. I have had my hands and feet itch after eating chicken since i was 21. Now it's meat, some fish and pork. I think it is the hormones they stick in them, though it does happen even with antibiotic free meats. A few of my sibling and my son has this as well.

Hi there, how did your itch progress - I am having almost the same systems and it is driving me nuts. I have had no change to diet, washing liquid, soap.

Have you looked into Scabies? You could have contracted them at your friend's house. The blisters are an indicator.

i like most have searched the web for answers to my sudden onset of pain, itching, and a numbness feeling in my hands, feet, arm, and legs.  my story begins about 10 yrs ago When my Dr. Presribed me cipro for a sinus infection. I had a side effect I later figured out was related to this med. I developed an itchy patch on my forearms. Wasn't debilitating but very annoying. Sometime later this same dr. Prescribed me Avelox.  Same family of drug as Cipro. (Read the article above). 24 hrs after starting this I found myself in the ER with rapid heartbeat and trouble breathing. after taking these two meds, I've had continued issues. One being chest pain. I've been through all kinds of test including stress test on the treadmill with EKG. All results said I was fine. dr. Seem to think my chest pain was muscular related in the chest wall. So I've lived with it for many years. Stress seems to make it worst.  But now for many years I've had this sudden onset of the itchy hands and feet,...etc. then I started to wonder if this could be related to the meds I used so many years ago.  After reading the article I posted above I'm sure of it now. Search the web, there are many articles about this bad medicine. It makes since that this is nerve pain   I hope this helps answer some questions some and hope that everyone passes this on to your loved ones to never let your Dr prescrib you any of those drugs. My next mission it to pursue how to rid my body of this.

this is a type of eczema, if you look up little p***y bumps on hands and feet, you will find the name. Medicines the doctor give dont seem to help others. The best answer I have seen is tea tree oil. I am going to try this for my daughter and husband.
