My boyfriend recently went to the doctor because he had discharge coming from his penis. He was treated as if he had an std althouth it is not known what std it is. I went to the doctor the very next day and was examined and cultures were taken. At the time of the examine She said I had BV. I was treated as if I had an std because i informed the doctor that my boyfriend was treated.
My question is if my boyfriend is showing sypmtons and he says he got it from me would the bacteria had showed in the examine when i went to the doctor?

This would have been a good question to have asked when you were in the doctor's office.
If the two of you are having unprotected sex, then you are most likely trading bateria back and forth.
If your boyfriend claims he got it from you, that's possible, but the fact that you've both been treated certainly will resolve that issue.
Do I hear behind your question concern that he may be sleeping around?
If so, why do you not use a condom? There may be some trust issues here.
Without knowing more about which STD or STI this was, it's hard to answer why the bateria did or should show up in your exam.
If you are saying that NO bacteria showed up in your exam, yet he did have an STI... that might indicate that it came from another source and you didn't pick it up from him yet.
You did the right thing to be tested and treated. Especially if you are continuing the relationship!
