i had this come on today, and ive never had anything like it before, it is short bursts of quite intense pain in the centre of my chest, it comes and goes and doesn't seem to have any pattern. It has only started happening today and i was mainly wondering what it would most likely be and should i see a doctor?

do these pains happen after you eat or exercise? does your family have any history of heart disease? also what is your build are you over weight, under weight? do you eat healthy or do you consume a lot of junk food?
you probably want to keep a close eye on these pains and if they intensify i would get them checked out ;-)

umm its not really after i eat or excercise
im not overweight, according to wii fit im ideal for my age/height
umm grandad has had 2 heart attacks, still here i dont know of any other heart problems
yes i eat too much junk food i just snack out most of the time, i try to eat healthily, and im trying to swap unhealthy for healthy
and i have only had it once after since i posted here and that was no where near as bad, so could it have been just a one off thing?

it soundsl like it could have been an off thing but i would just keep an eye on it. the next time you go to your doctor you may just want to mention it but otherwise you should be fine.
