I started to run marathons. I was scared at first and thought that I wouldn’t be able to complete such demanding race. Fortunately, I made it without a problem. That gave me confidence and I am thinking of running it on a regular basis. Should I pause between marathons?
Congratulations. Running marathon is an ultimate endurance challenge. Obviously you managed to complete the race. It means that you are in a pretty good shape. I would strongly recommend taking pause between marathons. You have to know that it is an extraordinary effort for your body and running two marathons too close to each other can lower your immune system and make other damages to your body. Give yourself time to rest and recuperate. After that you will be able to do your best when running the next one.
