My baby was born a bit early, and she was a bit yellow and was treated for jaundice. She was given UV treatment and extra glucose to help speed things up. I was wondering whether there would be any permanent side effects from the jaundice? I am hoping someone can help as I am a bit worried about my little girl!
There are no permanent side effects or consequences associated with neonatal jaundice. In fact, lots of babies are born with jaundice and it normally goes away within a few days for full term babies, or a few weeks for babies who were born slightly prematurely. Don't worry, you're fine! Enjoy your baby!
