My mother is going to go through an MRI scan for diagnostic purposes and her and me are quite nervous about it both. I am going to be accompanying my mother to the hospital for her MRI scan, so being informed would be a good thing in this case. Can anyone say anything about the side effects of MRI scanning?

Your mother should be totally fine and not notice any adverse effects whatsoever from her MRI scan, so the both of you can stop worrying about that now. What is she getting the MRI scan for?
