I have always slept walked for as long as I can remember, but recently I have started Running in my sleep. I am finding it alarming because I live on the second floor of my dorm room, and I have been told i run down teh hall, down the stairs across the hall and back up tha stairs. I do this about 10 times or more. I fall up and down the stairs while im awake...... I have also Woken up with my head bleeding, but i can,t remember how I actually got the cut or whatever. My dreams are insanely bizzarr as well. This is becoming dangerous, but I dont know what to do. I just started new medications, but when i look them up adn all there is nothing that says sleep running or anything. What do I do? Could it be from the medications? Im now even more afraid to go to sleep.
Sleep disorders could be related to medications - which medications are you taking exactly? But, more often, it's the case that sleep disorder is a symptom of more complex psychological condition that is using the unconscious state of sleep to express itself. We talked about some issuses you are dealing with, but, as I said, medications or even stress, could have contributed.
The only new medications I am on is Amitripitylin (for headachs) and Mirtazapine (for depression). Do you think a sleep study would be something to invest or look into?
