My dog jumped in my lap and landed in the groin area. A week later, I started to feel right testicle pain. Its been a week and the pain is still there. I am not bruising, urinating blood nor is there blood in the semen. I do not feel pain when urinating. I feel a lump connecting the sack to the right groin area near the prostate but it feels soft, like a swollen lymph node. There is the same lump on the left side but it is not as prominent. There is no real pain when touching the area and it is relieved when soaking in a bath tube. My question is how long should I wait to see a doctor, could this actually be cancer and just a coincidence in timing, and how long would pain last if it is just trauma.
So it has been a year since this was posted but I'm going to reply anyway. What you have is called a "red herring". In other words the dog jumping on you can be a cause or just a coincidence that confuses things. I would see a doctor. Get a PSA done and perhaps an ultrasound. There are multiple causes, some of which will go away on their own, some that can threaten fertility and one that can be life threatening. My husband had issues that ended up being caused by a very aggressive prostate cancer. Fortunately he caught it in time. They did a robotic prostatectomy without chemo. Sex is still great and no incontinence. It takes an hour, maybe two out of your day to see a physician. Don't ignore issues.
