Hi there, I think the safest, best-case scenario as to when you should smoke again would be a month out if that's possible. What do you think? How is your throat doing?

Hi there,

My best friend had tonsillectomy last June and before it he was smoking like a pack per day. Everybody was telling him that he should stop and after tonsillectomy the surgeon was convincing him that this is the great opportunity to stop. After 20 days without cigarettes he bought some nicotine patches and he has tried to give it a shot. Anyway he has read the label and found out that your heart can stop if you smoke while wearing this patch and since they are not cheap he decided to wear the patches and not smoking. And after one month he managed to not smoke and he has stopped wearing patches so if you think you can it would be best to try the same.
