That iron looks ok. If you can get one that plugs into the wall receptacle it would be better. The tip looks sharp which I find important. Practice first without heat. Tap spots. If needed make the taps longer. If they pop it's done. If they bleed you want to stop and deal with the blood. A lot of bleeding is not unusual. Good luck?

I used 3 methods but no luck it always comes back, but layely i am thinking what if i scrab each one and stop the bleeding, would it be good ?

If you scratch (scrab) each one it will likely make it worse. There is a theory in this thread suggesting that persistent scratching is what is causing them in the first place. I tend to agree. I have had some that were so small that I didn't bother to treat them when I used the soldering iron a few months ago - and they have now grown larger. Are you sure that isn't what is happening? How fast do they come back?

Hi guys. I found dabbing a cotton with hydrogen peroxide solution 6% (£1 for 200ml bottle) can provide immediate relief to this condition. Not a long term solution but the effect would lasts for hours. Also it can help to stop bleeding specially if applied before excising the blisters.

Please can someone give an update about Adapalene 0.1% to 0.3% gel (Differin) for treating angios? I've read it was being prescribed by dermatologists to treat other conditions on scrotum, which suggest me it might be safe.

I tried Differin. It didn't work but I didn't have any problems with it.

I also tried an IPL system designed for hair removal-- didn't work. There is medical literature that an IPL system can work, but the power used by the MD's was several times the power in home units. I have not tried the home laser (Tria), which says it has approx. 20 joule output vs the 6-9 joules of home IPL systems. If anyone tries the Tria, please report back.

Hello, David here,

I read this whole thing today, and haven't really heard much about my specific location.

My spots are right at the opening of the urethra, on the "lips" let's say. I've had a very sexually active life, as most girls are ok with my simple explanation of them. Not that I'm proud of them, and I hated having to explain it. Caused a lot off anxiety in my life. They showed up when. I was a young teen. I am 33 now, and just today did the soldering iron w/ the paperclip trick. I then ordered a soldering iron with a fine top just for this.

I have a few extra tiny, microscopic ones in a cluster, a couple tiny ones, and 2 big boys about 4mm. The small ones and the cluster went fast, no popping as they're incredibly small. But I don't think I got the big ones good enough. We'll see.

I was so scared to actually touch myself on the super ultra most sensitive part of my body with this super hot thing... But after 20 minutes of pretending I was gonna do it, I just went for it... It didn't hurt really bad at all. So then I went to town.

I just basically posted here so people with them on the very top of the head have a reference to how the soldering iron works. I'll check back in in a week and so on to update.

Just found this thread today after one of my spots burst this morning in the shower...didn't even know it until I took my towel off, and I saw quite a bit of blood. This is the third time this has happened over the past 10 years or so (I'm 56). Took me about 30 minutes to get everything under control, so I could go into work. This is more than an embarrassing affliction when being intimate--it made me late for work today! lol Anyway, after reading through this thread, I used a torch lighter to heat a paper clip to work on one area to get an idea of how the cauterizing will work for me.

It felt like getting a shot and the sting lasted about as long--not bad at all. The "pop" that has been mentioned is indeed very satisfying. :) I was able to treat about 3-4 of the spots each time I heated the paper clip. Most just turned white/flesh colored. Some popped, some didn't. The area I treated got pretty red overall, and I can feel a sensation there now--but it is very easy to tolerate. If it appears to have worked over the next week, I will get a soldering pen to do this faster.

I feel for you younger single guys and gals...just not a conversation piece I would want coming up with someone I wanted to date. For me, I do not want to deal with this occurring when I travel for work, and I admit I will feel better if there is cosmetic improvement. Hang in there everyone!

A few minutes ago, I posted the message that is quoted...I couldn't stand it and went ahead and treated everything using the torch lighter and paper clip method. No bleeding, minimal pain--for me, I would never need the numbing cream. It's amazing that some of them just seem to disappear, as others have written. Very happy with the preliminary result. I will update after healing for a few days.

David again. After I used my solder gun with a paper clip, my spots got smaller for sure, but didn't go away.

I used my new, single purpose soldering iron with the fine top, turned up to 450° again just now... What a difference that experience was. I don't know of they popped, but they sure did make a sizzle sound. IDK if 450° is too much, but it didn't hurt much. Here's hoping.

Are you the guest poster that tried Differin and mentioned excellent initial results?

At first you seemed very enthusiastic about Differin. What were your initial results and how did it turn out in a later timeframe?

There doesn't seem to be much literature about IPL. Even then, wouldn't IPL be applied in a different way than versus in a hair removal way?

I had IPL on the shaft for hair removal without much success. I also had diode laser on the shaft and scrotum as well for some sessions until i got burnt. Do remember that indeed the home units come no where close to the real thing.

Can't say that i saw a reduction in the spots while the torching laser was zapping away at my scrotum.

On Amazon I see pencil-tip soldering irons that are 30w, 60w and 120w. Does it matter which one is used?
