Red spots on scrotum

This is just the issue for men. It is unbelievable how many men I’ve heard complaining about red spots on their scrotum lately. I am among them and I can freely say I was a bit worried when I first noticed the spots as I tend to have as regular hygiene of the genital area as I can, and I was confused as I had thought it was some kind of rash. The tiny red spots appeared out of a blue and immediately ran to talk to my dermatologist. He calmed me down by saying these spots are just the ingrown hairs that swelled up a bit. He suggested to wear only cotton and comfortable pants so that I let my skin breathe. To be true, I was wearing some nylon pants which could be the reason why these spots appeared.
But, I still have to ask you a question. Are these spots flat or these look like little bumps? This could make a difference. But since you said the skin around them is slightly raised, I assume this could be the same problem which I used to have.
There is no special cure for this, the swelling and redness should go away in a few days, maybe you could just apply some talcum. Not a big deal.

I have unraised red spots on my scrotum. They're not itchy, don't really bother me, but there are about 8 of them. I was wondering if you could help me out? How to treat them?
