Timbo and all,
Glad to hear of your progress. I am making similar progress and am delighted that I have found something that works. I have realized like you that this will take some time and should not be rushed. I will check back in a few weeks.

I saw this message thread a year or two ago, and tried the paper clip trick (heated the tip on a red hot oven burner, then quickly tapped each spot). Took a lot for me to muster the courage to actually make contact to my scrotum lol. Anyway, I did it about 5 treatments over several weeks. None of them have come back from what I can see. Such a simple little trick. It does sting but only for a moment. I'd recommend doing it. I used rubbing alcohol before and after, and used a healing salve after as well. Good luck! Burn those suckers off and stop letting them get you down.

A tip for any bleeding. Use wet tea bags. I usually just squeeze mine a bit over and over until they become a sore and scab up. The scabs then fall off after a bit. I'd be a bit nervous applying heat or chemicals to mine. I have only done this with the larger hard ones though.

Hi,

when you say "I usually just squeeze mine a bit over and over until they become a sore and scab up" do you mean that you don't use any heat you just pinch them with your fingers ? be very helpful if you could give more information as im quite scared of using a soldering iron on my testicles.

I came across this site a year ago, and I've been researching this intently ever since. I tried the soldering iron method; however, it is quite uncomfortable, and the spots on my scrotum were quite numerous and not easy to pinpoint.

I am absolutely ecstatic to report that I have found a medicine that seems to show excellent results after a week of use. This medicine is Differin (adapalene) 0.1% gel. As of summer 2016, the gel is now OTC for around $15/tube.

The gel is potent, so only a pea-sized amount is needed, once per day. At this point, I'm seeing a drastic change, and I'm hoping to continue seeing positive results.

I wish you all the very best, and I hope this medicine works as well for you, as it has for me.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your findings with the Differin.

Were the spots you treated on your scrotum red blood blister like angiokeratoma or the more skin coloured Fordyce spots ?

Wow thanks for posting this. I too so dislike the soldering iron pain.
Has anyone else tried this Differin? I'm anxious to give it a try; sounds almost too good to be true.

AngioKNoMo here with a follow up: it's been about 3 weeks and I have healed from all of the treatments with the soldering iron. There is a spot or two that may need follow up but my scrotum is clear of the ugly little creatures. Besides the aforementioned sterile techniques and selection of a solder iron with a fine tip I would add: start small and do the big keratoma's last. The small one's pop and also heal quickly. The big ones tend to bleed and once that starts you are finished for the day. Try to protect a treated area while it's healing. The worst thing that happened to me was a scab was disturbed and started bleeding. It was profuse bleeding that went on for hours ( it was one of the big ones too). Keep applying neosporin or tea tree oil to treated areas. Also I would plan to hit a dozen or so (small then large). Stop. Let those heal for 4-5 days. Then go for another dozen. You don't want too much trauma at once.

Alas it worked. I will watch to see if any come back. Good luck to everyone!

Thanks AngioKNoMo for checking in here with your progress, congrats on your results. For me I am still pleased with my slow progress. Very much agree with your assessment to go small. I would also add small and slow. I'm much more clear now after about 3 weeks as well. I'm going to take break for a week or so then continue. I am very covered with these and sensitive down there as I'm sure most are. However this is taking me a while, it's very much worth the effort. I'm pleased with the results and leaving more lights on now :-).

Timbo,
I completely agree with your strategy. It's good to be conservative with the treatments as they can be traumatic to your body if rushed. Keep me posted on your progress.

Have just started with the soldering Iron, 2 sessions in now - I'm also quite covered and it will take some time. Going to combine with vizine as I have a lot of redness in general - choosing not to go with the numbing - it is a tad uncomfortable but I need to feel pain if I'm burning myself

Hello Joel,
Agree that the numbing can be tricky, as your pain tells you if you are doing something to be careful of. I was just so much of a baby with this, that I went with the numbing. Best of luck to you. I too was covered with these and have been making good progress. Some parts of me are now clear of the angio's after about 4 treatments and 1 month in.

Please let us know how you are making out.

I have head a couple folks mention "visine". Can you tell me what type you are trying? Is it just plain visine or a special product.
Thanks -
Timbo

Hi Buddy,
Thanks for checking on me. I am good. Hope you are as well :-).
I just completed another treatment a few mins ago. I have some quite large spots, I guess 3 - mm ? I did bleed a bit but not too long. I'm getting better.

How are you making out? OK I hope.

Red blood blister. Sorry for the late reply.

Update: A word of warning to you all. This stuff is potent, and it can cause irritation quickly.

There is a section of spots that are completely gone on my scrotum. On another section-- the one I am currently treating-- the spots have changed from dark blue/purple to bright red. I'm hoping this indicates that the drug is working. It seems like the color change may indicate that blood is not pooling up in that area anymore-- decreasing the likelihood of a thrombosed lesion (at least, that's my hypothesis).

I will continue to post updates as my treatment progresses.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. Differin seems a very interesting solution to this problem . Do you use the standard 0.1% gel ?
