I have found that the angiokeratomas grow when they become "infected." Use Neosporin (antibacterial); use cortisone (sparingly); use anti-fungal POWDER SPRAY (preferably one for Jock Itch-Tinactin; Lotrimin.

Use in the order given above because the Powder Spray goes on COLD--it dries them out but it also burns which is why you want to use the Neosporing/cortisone first.  The cortisone is for the inflammation.

What happens?

It takes a while but eventually they dry out from the antifungal treatment (freeze dry substitute).  Then you can remove the head without excessive bleeding.  The head will be very hard (dried blood) whitish looking to blackhead looking.  Continue until you have removed the head from each "infected" area.  Again, if they bleed--take my word for it...they are probably infected (hence the growth).

Takes months...but if you can stand the heat (the cold antifungal) then you can speed up the process.

Hope this helps you.

Interesting. This got me to thinking. If you are right, application of coconut oil after a shower might have a benefit. I have recently been doing a lot of research about the health benefits of coconut oil and it has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. I decided to try this, so today I applied coconut oil to my scrotum after my shower and I will do this for a couple weeks and then post my results here for all of you.

If you are interested in the health benefits of coconut oil, here are some links:

I like using healthy alternatives too. Cinnamon oil has similar qualities but burns like "h" so it has to be diluted (baby oil works). But you have to "freeze dry them with the antifungal spray powder (don't use the liquid spray) to dry them out. Again, cortisone for inflammation and itching "especially after you remove the head."

I found that the antifungal & antibacterial creams relieve most irritation but not the angiokeratoma itself. Once they grow (fill with blood), as the literature suggest--they have to be excised; freeze dried. It works believe me. Of course limit the applications to twice a day: once in the morning and once at night. That's it! :) I'm the same guy who posted the remedy.

Ive been treating this condition for 6 years. I'm 32. i first got it treated by laser removal. very costly but effective for about a month. i use my own home made instrument to treat this. i wrap a metal paper clip around the end of a soldering iron to create a needle like point. after sterilising the scrotum with eucalyptus oil or tea tree oil, i burn each blood spot. its not as painful as it sounds. it takes 5 to 10 days to heal. treatment last about 1 to 2 months. i find its similar results to the laser procedure without the cost.

I am curious, don't you eventually end up with scarring on your scrotum?

i haven't found there to be much scaring. nothing worth being worried about. Sometimes the larger spots may scar a little but they seem to fade over time. making sure you burn the very tiny spots reduces the chance of scaring in the long run as the spots don't have time to grow large to allow possible scaring. i suggest if u are worried about this method, try doing a small patch first with varied spot sizes. allow to heal and then decide if its a procedure for u.

Dr Scholls wart/freeze did work, I just also tried HTC 35%. The key is to get them when they're very small > I had a bigger one, it turned flesh color and now looks like a skin-tag.

^ BTW...out of the blue and the first time (two weeks ago) one developed right at the edge of my pee-hole...I freaked out! I did freeze it, it turned black, scabbed and is gone. However now I can almost see a few super tiny dots in the same area. I've had them on my sack for the longest time, not many but as I mentioned above one bigger one...that's the one I froze with Dr Scholls. It's not gone but did shrink and is now flesh colored.
Thanks to this forum I helped myself. Up until one appeared on my tip I wasn't too concerned but sure wasn't comfortable with the one on my tip > it's gone and ready to battle more (if) they appear up there ;)

So far it's been two months since I got it lasered and I still have 4 or 5 very small ones on both side of testicles. The big one are gone... At least for now. I am so self conscious about it. I know it's normal and it's part of aging and apprently alot of men have it, but too embarrassed to mention it or do anything about it. I am thinking of doing the HCL thing on my own if they come back. I can live with it it's it's just 4 or 5 small spots instead of 12 to 20. Why oh why are the the unlucky ones?!

Oh my god... I just did the HCL thing... Boy did the first one stung, but for the next 5 spots got better because I was mentally and physically prepared. It turned it white first then turned black kinda the same effect as dye pulse laser. It should fall off in several days. I only did my right side just in case... Haha.

It seems like there are alot of men and actually some women's vula gets this too just so you know. To, Skott.. I know it's frustrating and having a partner that's freaking out doesn't help either. You just have to educate your partner about the condition. Firstly it's not an std, secondly alot of men have this issue, thirdly there are treatments but even doctors believes its normal, therefore most recommend just leaving it.... But of course we are not just going to accept this. And lastly if your partner is so bothered by this, i cant imagine we you both get old and wrinkly. =[

Hopefully this combination of laser and HCL will eliminate it eventually or at least make us look more normal. Have faith, as more doctors learn about this condition, the more people are aware of this, the better chances there will be a absolute treatment for it.

As it turns out, a dermatologist visits my dog park...I asked her about them. Her response was "we just burn them for a second or two, they scab and later fall off"
I would think (if) you can stand the few second pain of burning maybe with a hot paperclip that may be another option. I think with freezing/wart remover or the HTC all three seem to work just fine for home fixes.

I have tried the Visine method now - actually another generic eye drop with naphazoline hydrochloride in it, for a couple of weeks on and off, and it's definitely reduced the size of many of the spots. I'm gonna try the Dr Scholl route next to see what impact that has, and maybe then give HCl a go... It's actually really heartening just hearing other guys talk about it. The paranoid side of me thought at first that whoever posted about HCl was some sicko trying to get us all to burn our nuts off.... Ha

I just tried your paperclip/soldering iron method, but I am wondering if I did it right. I am just lightly touching the spots very quickly. they make a tiny popping noise, and then they immediately look better. I am only touching them for a fraction of a second. Is this how you are doing it, or do I need to touch them with the hot paperclip a bit longer? I want to make sure I don't do it too long and cause damage, so I wonder if I am being too cautious?

Also, I am curious what yours look like right afterward and as healing progresses?

I did read on another sight that electrocautery is a method for removal, so this makes sense.

Thanks!

Alan77, I never stated (I) used the "paper clip" method however, if a 'dermatologist assistant' told me personally they simply burn them for a second or two I would imagine how you did it will work just as well.
I would think > if they cauterize when burned/zapped, they will scab and heal. That's also what my dermatologist assistant/friend stated.

I may try burning one as you did, so far I used the HCL(not very impressed) and the Dr Scholls wart freezer that seemed to work better.
