spotting for 10 days

I got my period may 18th, a day after having unprotected sex. Had unprotected sex again June 1st, exactly two weeks after my last period. Then four days after, June 5th, I went to use restroom at work & noticed I had pinkish blood when I wiped. I was really surprised because all my life my period has been normal & I've never spotted like this. I thought I was getting my period but, when I went to restroom again I had nothing. Then, later that night there it was again. The spotting has become darker & I have not been needing to wear a pad but, been fine with a pantyliner. Today is Sunday June 15th & the spotting has continued, it doesn't feel like a period, sometimes when I wipe, there's nothing...this has never happened to me. I am 35 & have never been pregnant. My period is still not late but, why have I been spotting this way for the past 11 days? I went to doctor last week (four days ago) & she told me it would be too early to show if I was pregnant on a urine test. She said if my period was always on time & I was on a 28 day cycle I should be getting my period on June 16 (tomorrow). This has been the longest week of my life. I'd be extremely happy, if I were pregnant, not getting any younger, lol but, don't want to get too excited & then be let down if im not. Has this happened to anyone?
