I'm 36 and am 6 weeks pregnant. After having intercourse with my husband last week, I had red blood on the tissue when I used the bathroom the next morning. I wore a pad to work, but hardly any blood actually got on it. It was mostly just when I used a tissue to see if there was still any blood. There was a little bit of tissue in the blood, and the spotting stopped altogether around lunch time that day. It has not returned since (4 days later). Also, there was no cramping with the bleeding.
My doctor wasn't alarmed at this -- she said it was likely because my cervix had been irritated during sex the previous night. I did go in for bloodwork that day and again today -- so that she can compare my HCG levels. The level on Thursday (at 5 weeks) was about 3500. I won't know anything until tomorrow.
Has anyone gone through these symptoms before?

Hello, my wife and I went through almost the same exact problem as you. With this pregnancy being our first we were really worried about what was happening. Our doctor agreed with yours and said that everything was fine and that some women spot and their is no explanation. We also went and had an ultrasound done as well and that doctor also said that everything looked fine. The biggest thing to remeber about a possible misscarriage is that the spotting is usually accompanied with cramping and pain. Hope everything is alright fir you.
