I have a 16 year old son, that says his urinating has been stinging him for about a year or so now. He thought it was just a part of puberty. Also it has two sprays, one to the left and one to the right. He mentally stops his flow once he knows it's going to "split". Then he'll readjust and finish.
He has also had some white discharge at times while urinating. Can you give me any ideas what may have been causing this? Or any remedeies? He is not sexually active, never has been sexual w/ anyone or anything.
Please help,
thanks!!

Dear Mother,
Your son needs medical treatment, A DOCTOR WOULD BE THE FIRST THING FOR YOU TO DO. It sounds like he has a urinary tract infection which stings in both male and female while urinating and if it gets bad enough he could end up with A KIDNEY INFECTION IF NOT TREATED BY A PROFESSIONAL. Drug stores sell UTI ( URINARY TRACT INFECTION STRIPS) which will tell you for sure if that is what he has but a doctor needs to test your childs urine and perscribe antibiotics IMMEDIATELY. UTI'S ARE VERY PAINFUL WHILE A PERSON URINATES. I KNOW, I HAVE HAD A UTI SEVERAL TIMES AND HE NEEDS A STRONG ANTIBIOTIC SUCH AS CIPROFLEXIN OR ANOTHER STRONG ANTIBIOTIC.
PLEASE TAKE HIM TO THE NEAREST ER AND DO NOT WAIT.
Tell your son ANYTIME THERE IS PAIN INVOLVED HE SHOULD TELL YOU, HIS MOTHER IMMEDIATELY. Hope he feels better soon.
