I have been dealing with bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, heartburn, low grade fever etc on and off for the past 11 days. For background information, I was previously on minocycline for 3 days for acne, but stopped taking it because my stomach was not reacting well to it. This was unexpected as I was previously on minocycline years ago for an extended period of time with no problems at all. Anyways, I stopped taking it and I was okay for a few days after that. However, approximately 5 days later my stomach began acting up with all of the aforementioned symptoms. The first doctor I saw said she did not believe it was linked to the antibiotics because I was only on it for three days. She thought it might be a gallbladder issue because of the location of the abdominal pain. A few days later, I ended up in the ER. They did blood work and an ultra sound that all came out normal. The ER doctor said it was probably just gastroenteritis, but 4 days later, the symptoms have more or less not subsided and I am not really eating much. I'm worried that it may have to do with the antibiotics after all, Maybe c difficile or something like that? If not the antibiotics, any other ideas? 11 days and counting seems rather long for a typical stomach bug.

If you still have bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and low grade fever, sounds like a stomach bug to me.

It can take longer (yes, even 11 days), if your immune system is down.

Did you take anything during these 11 days?

I did try a variety of things at different points including Pepto, Maalox, and Prilosec.

The diarrhea has stopped, but now I'm dealing with constipation.
