I was on birth control (a few months on the patch, and the rest of the time on the pill) for about 11 months then my husband and I decided to get pregnant. I had just started a new birth control packet and had taken four pills from the packet then stopped. 2 days later my period started, heavier than normal, even though I had just had my period the week before. While on birth control I would take about three packs of pills before I took the placebo pills to have my period. Sometimes during that time I would spot for about a week during my second pack of pills. Would this affect what is happening? Should I go to the doctor, or is it just my body adjusting?
