Cut out milk and dairy and bread. Eat lots of fibre.Eat ginger and garlic together with your food as it is quite strong. Drink plenty of water. I had the same problem this worked for me, good luck.

Hi Zoe0202,
Just read your post..I know this was over a year ago..but was just wondering how you have got on with the products you bought from Holland and Barrett? Am suffering too with the bloating after quitting smoking(3 months now).

Feeling so much better after reading this thread, as my tummy bloat is unbearable and so frustrating! I’m wondering how long it took for things to settle with most women. I only smoked for 3 years, maybe 3-4 cigarettes a day... I was going nuts thinking it was something more insidious going on. Thank you everyone for sharing your story!

No, No, and NO!! Do not start smoking again, smoking kills, but I'm pretty sure belly bloat won't kill you!

I totally agree with you that it is "true hell" I hope you have not given up your quit! I have been quit 8 1/2 mos, and am also struggling with belly bloat! I am continuously researching this issue! Hang on to your quit if you haven't let go of it yet! I hope you are better since your post was from over a year ago!

Sir. Try carrot juice every morning raw carrot juice! Consume 2litters a day! No tea, no coffee.
Just stay: carrot juice every morning when you wake up. After an hour drink water with lemon lets say 400 ml. The rest just consume the 2 Litter a day.
+ raw juice ex, water melon , any juice or use Blender for that.

Stay away canned juice .

I am so glad I found this stream and am going to do my best to find a solution that will hopefully work for everyone! I am making it my personal goal. I was a smoker for 43 years!
I smoked my last cigarette on September 16th, 2017, and as time as gone by up til now, belly bloating is the biggest side effect of my quit! Although I am experiencing this problematic issue, I will not return to smoking for relief! I'm sure just one would cure me in an instant, but it's more important to remain free from this addiction that fixing the side effect for me!
I see many have posted answers as to what has worked for them, and quite frankly, I am surprised that someone in the medical field can't come up with a solution to this problem that so many people are affected by.
I am starting out with the Swanson Brand of #SW350 - Swanson PremiumBetaine HCI Hydrochloric Acid with Pepsin @ $ 7.49 for 250 capsules as well as #SWU445 - Swanson UltraBioCore Optimum Complete @ $ 12.74 for 90 Veg Caps !
I'll let you know how use of these two products turns out for me. I am a 56 year old grandmother with a small frame and walking around, looking like I am about to give birth, really sucks!
So if you know of something that is working for you, please do share! I'm sure it can't hurt! But as always, if you are uncertain of using any suggested products, you should check with your doctor first!
