Hi Sandy -

I smoked 2 packs of Camel, unfiltered cigarettes a day when I quit smoking, cold turkey, after thirty years of smoking. I did not use any prescription or nicotine substitutes. I did take regular aspirin for three days AND drank a lot of water for weeks. I actually lost twenty pounds over the next six months. Then, I decided to stop drinking coffee. Over the following year I gained 100 pounds. I strongly suggest not substituting anything for smoking. Just quit. You can do it!

I believe stomach bloating and other digestive problems is caused simply by inhaling so much air with the vapor. I've read using a straw in a drink can cause the same problem, as well as just swallowing a lot of air. Really! Google it. Smoking cigarettes doesn't because you don't inhale much air in smoke. I don't know a way to fix this issue, though!

Update on these two products: They have been working for me. I have been taking them once per day, first thing in the morning with a bottle of water. This is the start to my every day now vs. coffee with creamer.
I no longer look like I am bloated up with an air baby in the belly. I no longer have the feeling of fullness all day long! I am finding myself starting to feel so much better that I have begun losing a few pounds because I am no longer uncomfortable, causing me to not want to leave the house and go to the gym, or go out and bicycle ride! I am now biking 22 miles at a time, and going to the gym again!
I recommend these 2 products:
Ultra BioCore Optimum Complete and Premium Betaine HCl Hydrochloric Acid w/Pepsin
The cost is around $25.00 and this includes shipping! Well worth it to me. Use at your own risk, I am not a doctor, just suggesting what works for me! I still am a non smoker, but now a more happier one!

I believe that nicotine behaves as a laxative and that after 43 years of smoking, your digestive track only works with the aid of nicotine. Once you take the nicotine away, your digestive track goes into shock as it has forgotten how to work without the aid of nicotine and the millions of other chemicals smoking delivers to your body! This is also the belief of many who quit smoking! I will continue to monitor the effects of my body and quitting, as I do not want to be taking products like these forever. But these 2 things have certainly been a blessing!

I agree with this immensely! I cannot stress the importance of not substituting anything when you quit smoking! Addiction is a tough thing for many! I actually quit coffee drinking since quitting smoking, I have a cup here and there, but nothing like I use to do, as smoking and coffee went hand in hand!

I hope you are not smoking still, and that you found a way to maintain the belly bloat as I have. But do try to remember that belly bloat will not slowly kill you like smoking will! Do take care!

These products provided zero relief for me - I actually doubled the dosage you recommended and I didn't see any reduction in bloating / gas.
I've had bloating and digestive issues for 5 months (since I quit) and I've spent that time looking for the cause. I'm now reading everything I can find on the effects of smoking (and not smoking) on the adrenal and the release of cortisol. I'm beginning to think this is the issue and the solution will not be a quick fix. Read up on this - I'd love to hear others feedback on this topic.

The bloating they are talking about is "after" quitting, not while smoking. It is a common ailment in people who quit smoking. Many go right back to smoking because they cannot handle the bloating after they quit. This too happened to me the one time I quit for 9 months.
I am 25 days as of today, 08-23-18, away from being free from smoking for 1 full year. With the two products I have tried, I have found permanent relief, and hope to experience getting off of these products to see if I can be totally free of belly bloating without the use of them.

Hello Guest
I am curious as to when you took these two products every day! ? As in, what time of day?
For me, I wake daily and the first thing I do is a bottle of water, along with 1 capsule of each of these products. Wait 30 minutes! But it for sure, what is working for me, may not work for others. I do know of others who have used these and also found relief. But they definitely changed my life, and level of comfort for the better! Some days while bloated I felt like I could have been popped with a pin! Not a good feeling.

Both supplements help with digestion so I take them (as directed) when I eat.
I can't see how taking them first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, will do you any good.
The HCI is an acid that helps break down food if you are no producing enough acid on your own - one tablet is approx. 10% of the acid you would normally need to help with digestion. So one tablet is not going to have much impact on your digestive process IF you are not producing enough acid on your own. Need to be careful with this one.
The enzyme is another supplement that should be taken with food after or during a meal - not sure how these would be beneficial first thing in the morning.
Regardless, if they are working somehow for you, that's what matters.
