hi there.. I went off birth control to fall pregnant, but ended up getting major anxiety attacks, (felt like I couldnt breathe continuously), depression, loss of appetite, major mood swings, angry, loss of sleep (if any), hot flushes, acne.... It happened once to me before, we were trying to get pregnant for 2 months, but I totally flipped out and docs put me on anti depressents.. So this time I refused to!! After 2.5 months I just went back on pill and instantly felt heaps better... I need to know why this is happening to me.. docs wont help, they just think its re-occuring depression cause it runs in my family.. they dont believe its hormones!! I know my own body!! someone please help
Hi Mouchie77
Sorry to hear you've been on such a roller coaster.
Hormones out-of-order can certainly produce this range of really unpleasant, life disrupting symptoms. As can the vitamin deficiencies that often run in tandem with them and exacerbate the symptoms.
There are doctors and naturopaths out there that understand how to treat this. What part of the world do you live in? I may be able to direct you towards the type of practitioner you need to see to get on top of the problem.
Regards, Olwen :-)

thankyou so much for your response.. Im in perth western australia
Hi Mouchie77
There are lots of practitioners in Perth who can help you. You need to find a doctor or naturopath who works in functional medicine or nutritional medicine. There's a list on ARL Pathology's web site (do a google search for ARL Functional Pathology). Let me know if you have trouble finding it.
And let us know how you go!
