Hello all,
About a month ago I was playing football when I did a lunge and suddenly experienced a semi-intense burning sensation in my left testicle as if i had pinch it between my shorts and leg. This pain lasted for perhaps 2-3mins before disappearing almost completely. I didn't feel any further pain until about 2-3 days later when I started to notice a dull-ache by my left testicle, top of left leg and left hip. I ignored this pain for a further week as other than it I had no other symptoms. It was not red, moved up and down with the temperature and nor was it inflammed. The only slight difference I noticed was that it perhaps didn't lay as flat in my 'ball sack' as my other testicle did - slightly diagonal instead of straight.
One night I noticed it was slightly red and the underside was a tad cold so decided to see a doctor. I explained my symptoms and he did a quick grab-n-feel and said that he it was not anything serious (including not a hernia), and said that it is most likely a groin strain.
Following this I didn't get much pain for a few days. However, over the past 1/2 weeks it has started to be noticeably more painful. The pain feels like it is just coming from slightly inside the ball-sack from the left side. Higher than the testicle. I have also noticed that I don't seem to have as much feeling in that side of my ball-sack, such as when it knocks against something - although if I feel the testicle it is almost exactly the same as the right side and is painful to squeeze even slightly.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I'd rather not have to go to my Doctor again unless it's needed.
A little extra that may help: I've always had a reasonably bad lower back, I masturbate 3/4 times a week and haven't played football for about a month - although exercise does help to dull the pain.
