I’m so glad I found this thread. My wisdom tooth (bottom right) is impacted and every 6 months or so it tries again to get through. I was woken at 2am two nights ago with a throbbing jaw. Sure enough it’s trying again. I used one of those tiny interdontal brushes to clean between the minuscule gap between the wisdom tooth and the tooth next to it. Whilst I was doing this I noticed two fairly substantial yellowy/white spots on my right tonsil. My throat does not hurt though. However, my ear aches a little and my gland is swollen. I am now convinced that there is a connection between the wisdom pain and the tonsil spots - this can’t just be a coincidence. I’m hoping that when my wisdom gives up, the spots will go!

Same here! I turned 21 in March 2018. Lived my WHOLE life rarely getting sick- my health problems are usually non-contagious, like a tumor, injury from glass shards all over my body, appendicitis, non-contagious stomach bugs, etc. Very rarely do I have a cold, never ever had the flu, yada yada (you get it- I'm not usually prone to contagious illness).
Last year I got strep throat (tested negative on a rapid test but positive on the 3-day culture test) right before New Year's Eve. THEN I got it again in mid June. Haven't had it since, but I figure it's coming soon...
All four of my wisdom teeth are impacted (none of them will ever surface, at all, because they are so heavily impacted. they all grow completely horizontal) but I have too much anxiety to take them out if I'm even remotely awake, and my insurance is refusing to cooperate. So I've been working on getting them out since October 2017

My ear hurts like hell and my throat too, but not that much. I didn't have impacted wisdom teeth to make that pain. Do you think this pain is because they grow?
