My boyfriend has been on Suboxene for the last 10 months. His doctor has been tapering his usage the last 8 weeks and he took his last dose two days ago. He started feeling significant withdrawal symptoms yersterday a.m. and they have not subsided any today. Can you give me an idea of how long withdrawal symptoms will last? Will he gradually start feeling better or will he just wake up and feel great? I'm trying to give him as much encouragement I can with this because he's so close to being completely drug free. THe worst of the withdrawal symptoms should be over within a week, then the majority of symptoms in a month, then the last bit should be done in three months. That's essentially how it works. DOes that help?
