I agree to a point however I took painkillers after 2 subsequent accidents requiring surgery over 2 years and six surgeries Dr's in 2007 said suboxone would help with pain and the withdrawal from pain medication. I still had perfect teeth one filling slowly but surely over last 6 or so years I don't think I have a tooth that isn't rotting from the gum line or is already gone and when I started taking it there was no warnings about teeth decay.

Yes, I have been on Suboxone for years. Before that I took methadone for severe chronic pain. After I started Suboxone which I was put on to make my Dr feel safer, I started having a lot of cavities pop out of no where when I have never had any major issues before. Now, Since Covid & I couldn't see the dentist I have a Dental plan that was an estimate given to me just to fix the cracks, deterioration & cavities from this medication FOR $15,000. YES, FIFTEEN THOUSAND!!!
I am extremely adamant that we need to hold these manufacturers accountable. This is horrible.

There’s now a shot that you can get once a month to avoid taking the films. Sublocade shot. I just switched due to teeth issues. It also breaks the habit of taking something daily and allows your body to wean off easier. The shot gives you a steady dose of the med for 26 days. I only found out about it after talking to my doctor about the issues I’m having with my teeth.

In addition to the sublocade shot there is also a mouth product called carifree treatment that helps remineralize teeth. There is a lawsuit now. https://theclassactionnews.com/drugs-pharmaceuticals/suboxone-problems/

Hey guys, I can relate to EVERYONE!! I had PERFECT TEETH before I started taking Suboxone. I now have one of my front teeth that crumbled no more and it has been incredibly hard to get a job even though I have degrees in finance and economics. Everyone is ssooooo judgemental these days as everyone on this forum knows!! To answer everyone's questions on lawyers and a class action lawsuit, this is completely true. The only way that you will qualify for some of the settlement money is if you have concrete proof that Suboxone was the cause of your teeth rotting (this is a FACT!!). This proof HAS TO come in the form of you visiting a dentist bi weekly or monthly at the BARE MINIMUM while you are taking Suboxone. I don't know about y'all but there was NO WAY that I could afford to go to the dentist that much and also if I did, they would have demanded surgery or any procedure to make money. If you do not have the procedures that they demand because you cannot afford them, they will drop you so quickly and not help you with this lawsuit. There has already been a settlement but I was dropped because I didn't see the dentist EVERY MONTH (or twice a month). Good luck everyone and I feel everyone's pain!!!

I was on Suboxone for 6 years , from 2010-2016 to go off of medication that my Doctor Over prescribed for me. Suboxone at that time was not advertised as a short term drug but more of a long term drug fir withdrawal and pain management. I was not warned of any tooth issues but slowly my teeth started to literally break. I now have upper dentures and only 8, heavily filled lower teeth. I actually need implants as I have a bone growth on the roof of my mouth (unrelated to suboxone). My dentures do not fit flush against my upper palate and they are painful and uncomfortable. I haven't been able to afford to get anything on the bottom and I have only one molar. This has greatly affected my self esteem and changed the shape of my mouth as it's too uncomfortable to wear my dentures all day. It's also affected my ability to enjoy certain foods.

WELL FOR THOSE OF US THAT WENT TO DENTIST REGULARLY BEFORE SUBOXONE CAN PROVE WE HAD DECENT MOUTH BEFORE THE MEDS... I CAN PROVE IT ALL DAY LONG! NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY TEETH OR MOUTH TIL I STARTED TAKING SUBOXONE! SO YES IT IS DO-ABLE TO PROVE IT IS CAUSED BY SUBOXONE!

You are correct. I've been on Suboxone films and tablets for 9 years now...after Dr's over prescribed me opiates for 6 years while I had 17 orthopedic surgeries. I would have gone through opiate withdrawals instead of Suboxone any day, all day. I've weaned myself down to basically 2mg every 3 days and when I quit dosing, I've never been able to get past day 10 without having to take a full film because of tbe sudden debilitating withdrawal symptoms...frick'n awful. I'm sick of Suboxone and Dr's have no real protocol to get patients off Suboxone. They always say at next appt, "well, let's continue". Heck no! I can tell ya'll I've suffered terribly after back surgeries only because the uninformed Dr's say, " oh, just stop talking Suboxone 48 hours before surgery". Are you kidding...the affinity Suboxone has for receptors is very, very strong. I've stopped talking Suboxone 20 days before a surgery and took 3 10mg Lortab a day...by the way...felt withdrawal symptoms the whole 30 days before surgery. Well, STILL, AFTER SURGERY, NOTHING alleviated post surgery pain...even I've morphine with Lortabs. All surgeries were a nightmare because Dr's are EXTREMELY UNEDUCATED about Suboxone and manufacturers darn sure don't care and we all know that someone could easily develop a medicine to squelch withdrawal symptoms when quitting Suboxone...that will be the next class action lawsuit.....everyone, BAND TOGETHER SO WE CAN MAKE THE MANUFACTURERS PAY FOR OUR YEARS OF SUFFERING! A law firm needs to examine the issue of NO PROTOCOL to get off Suboxone or Buprenorphine.
Get this, I went to a 12 day detox hoping to get off Suboxone. Those m***n Dr's detox people with Buprenorphine! What a joke, IT'S THE SAME DARN MEDICATION!!! I couldn't believe it.
I'll be really honest because I'm so upset, I can take 5 micrograms of fentanyl every 5 days and never feel withdrawals from stopping Suboxone....it's actually perfect, BUT, I know, I know, fentanyl is dangerous, synthetic and just a short term remedy. But based on my degree in science, at least fentanyl can be reduced by introducing less powerful opiates, ie percocet to Lortab to Darvocet overv.. I don't know, maybe a 3 month program with Dr.
It's so simple. But hiw do you find a Dr that's educated on the above info and who's willing to help patients who obviously have reached maximum benefits from Suboxone and that treatment can and should END.
PLEASE FOLKS, LET'S STAY STRONG TOGETHER ! I've been included in 4 class action lawsuits from my purchase of Suboxone...the over charging, non-generic availability, tooth enamel decay ect...you all know what I'm talking about...if the government can't recognize the horrible predicament manufacturers if this medication has put consumers in, what a home run Suboxone manufacturers have hit at our(patients) expense/lives

The main ingredient in bupenophrine is not used strictly for abuse. It is prescribed routinely in pain management. And to top it off there is a class action supporting bupenophrine is rotting teeth so again you’re wrong how embarrassing for you.

Wow so I came on to try and go anyone having issues with taking Suboxone after getting their dentures cuz for some reason after I got my dentures due to having to get every tooth in my mouth extracted (or what I had left of them from the Suboxone, eating every single one of them away) I either can't figure out how to hold them in my mouth right or I don't know I don't know what the answer is but my doctor last month told me that my levels are extremely low for how much Suboxone is in my system, and I kept wondering why I felt so sick all the time so this past month I've really tried to be cautious of how I've been taking them. I've even been removing my dentures to do it but I guess I won't find out until next month now because this month won't count because I didn't find out about it until I went in for my doctors visit and the results he was reading were from 2 month before and so the urine I gave him that day was going to be for the month before so the only thing I'll find out in two days as if it was a fluke and the results were just wrong that one month which I highly doubt because I have been feeling withdrawl sick every day at some point during the day so next month I'll find out if I was able to tweak anything if it wasn't just a mistake. I hope I haven't confused anyone yet. Lol but the whole crazy thing about. This whole thing is I wasn't even coming on here to look for this kind of post but I'm glad I stumbled on it because I had no idea that that's probably why I lost all my teeth I mean I didn't have perfect perfect teeth. I had lost a few in the back, but the ones I did have were beautiful. And then in the course of a year and a half they went come lately to c**p but I had been on subs for 4 yrs at that point. So question is is there really a class action or should there just be one lol cuz I'll jump on that band wagon and I'm a huge case to be like HEY THIS GIRL HAD TO GET ALL HER TEETH PULLED and spend 8k and that just so far
