A friend of mine has been through A LOT lately (her boyfriend died two months ago, etc.). She's become really withdrawn and it has me extremely worried. Earlier today, she called me talking about taking a whole bottle (100 pills) of 50mg benadryl (diphenhydramine) with alcohol and 15mg of ativan. I called her parents to let them know what's going on and they are with her right now. I'm just wondering what would have happened if she would have taken all that without telling anyone! Would she have died?
Wow....it's a strong possibility. You did the right thing by alerting her parents. I hope she's okay. All you can do is just be there for her.
