Suspected ALM (Subungual) Melanoma on foot under a nail

Why dont you go to a doctor? 

Hi, well i already said i am going for an excision, with a recommendation from my doctor. I am just looking for someone with a similar experience. That is all.

I had an wide excision and skin graft to remove an ALM from between my first and second toes, stage 1b (ulcerated, Clark's level III, high mitotic rate).. Sentinal node biopsy was negative. It developed in a tiny freckle that I have had since I was a child. Have had two idiopathic fractures in one of the toes adjacent to the surgical site in the last couple of years, but the oncology surgeon said that ALM does not metastasize to bone so he is unsure as to the reason for the fractures. Hope that all is well with you. Please let me know! :)

I've been to surgery and they amputated the piece of my finger, the third finger on my right foot. Doctor was 99% sure it was Melanoma. So i was really worried stressed out and worrying a lot while i was recovering.

Two weeks later he called me and said that the test for melanoma was negative. It was just blood under my nail, most likely caused by a trauma (which i can't recall). So now everything is fine. As much as it can you. I still have to keep in mind that i am in a high risk group. Two years ago i removed Nodular Melanoma from my back. Breslow 5mm, Clark IV, but my sentinels were clean. I went through a therapy.

Did you go through some kind of therapy ?

Have you looked for another opinion for those fractures? Those are micro-fractures right?

What're the chances of survival for subungual melanoma?
