Swelling of hands,feet, and ankles.. will not go away!

Hello. I seriously have l the same symptoms. Same age, 2 kids, the dizziness, swelling and I'm 25. Have u had any tests? I feel like I'm seriously sick.

larisalle, I have no idea if you'll see this but this sounds remarkably like what I've been dealing with for the past month. At the end of my second day of cephalexin, I had my first panic attack. Unrelenting anxiety and attacks for most of the past month. Insomnia. Some depression.
I've dealt with low level general anxiety before but this was/is a whole new animal.
The GP who gave it to me insisted there was no connection but I know better.
I finally got a different doctor to give me something for the anxiety and I feel somewhat normal finally. The anxiety drug being a benzo, it acts on GABA receptors...
How did you learn of this neurotoxic reaction? How temporary was it? I don't wish to take drugs any longer than necessary but I was quickly becoming non-functional as this went on.

Neonlights I'm 33 and going threw the same exact thing! My wife just let me know I could have gotten herpes from her and since I've been swollen and don't know why! They thought it was limes disease but was wrong so now there trying to see if it's rumetouid arthritis but I really don't think it is. I think it's edema! If you look at the symptoms it can be caused by a disease that already exists. I am going to see if they can see if the herpes has made it possible.

I've found my hands/feet/ankle swelling is connected to a viral overgrowth. I suspect it is of the herpes family as I have a history of fever blisters and shingles with pain symptoms in right shoulder (resolved after 8 years) and right sciatica 2x in past 8 years (second attack resolving now). Fibromyalgia for past 8 years now resolving. I found help through Anthony William's books. First one is Medical Medium. I like all 3 of his books. Cat's claw extract and elderberry syrup have been so helpful along with other supplements and eating all the fruits and green drinks all so healing. 16 oz of fresh celery juice for one week got me started with reduced pain.

OMG!! you just described everything I've been going through for the past 8 months! been to 4 doctors who had no idea, two physios who don't know either. I'm going in for some remedial massage on Monday because a naturopath said my muscles may be locked and preventing circulation...next month I'm going to see a guy who practices functional medicine. I told him what was happening with me and he said he had an idea. I told him I suspected parasites, and after listening ( he actually listened!!) he said it's possible and when the body is trying to deal with what's happening with internal organ, it uses the feet and hands as a dumping ground for toxins, hence the swelling, stiffness and pain. I'm so crippled with this c**p! I hope we all find out what's going on with our bodies and return to full health! all the best! Michelle
