Hello my 18 year old son has had a cough for e few days now along with an itchy feeling in the back of his throat. Today he came home with a swelling on the back of his head. He said he noticed it while scratching his head and it was quite sore. He also said that he had -had a pretty bad headache earlier in the day. He said that the swelling had gone down considerably since he first noticed it. I am aware of the occipital glands. Could this be what this is? Or could the common cold cause the lymph nodes to swell in the back of the head? Keep in mind he has not hit his head on anything. We would appreciate a response. Thank You
