I have lived your pain and symptoms. No medical Dr. could explain what was wrong with me. They said if they could not figure out what was wrong with me that they would just diagnose me with chronic fatigue syndrome. Well that was not good enough for me! I needed to find a cause to my problem. I prayed to God to show me what was wrong with me since He is the one who made me, I knew He would show me. Two days after praying this way I was reading a book I checked out from the library, all of a sudden I began to read about myself symptom for symptom and if you were like me then you would read about different diseases that would only come close to what your symptoms would be then you might say "oh I don't have that symptom". So onward the search would be! I found myself to be sensitive to wheat and gluten which some people are allergic to, also known as celiac disease. I was later diagnosed with several food allergies, testing that goes beyond an allergy speacialist. Applied kiniseologist or a nutritionalist is who I would recommend you go to. As I got rid of the foods I was allergic to I began to feel my symptoms disappear, if I eat the foods that bother me then I easily get sick again. It is a life change that has to happen and no medication can help this. Our bodies can only fight so long before they start to break down and then eventually we end up getting suppressed immune system because our body can't keep up. It is slow ongoing disease that causes people who are misdiagnosed and just put on a medication to mask the problems, to go into other diseses most often bowel problems, as celiac disease attacks the bili. I have lived in your shoes. I could not get out of bed for days and ran countless low grade fevers, dizziness, fatigue that no rest could make up for! Yes, people did think this was in my head as well. I lived this way for a while and had the same concerns as you with ruining my career, was hindered by my continual viruses. You will be relieved to find out how much the foods you are eating are the very ones that may be hurting you. I too tried going on healty diets and supplements but found my self eating whole grains that were hurting me more. Also caffiene is one of the worst things you can allow in your diet to keep up as yoou only wear your already tired out body more in the long run and I found that out the hard way. I hope this information will bring healing results to your health.

OMG you sound just like me. I have been searching for 6 months now on what could possibly be wrong with me. I have seen about 4 different Dr's and have had many tests. I have neuropathy, lightheadedness/brain fog, fatigue, muscle pain and weakness. Anxiety and panic attacks, severe belching, indegestion and I too have a wheat/gluten allergy. It has ruined my life, caused me to lose my job and has put a major burden on my marriage and relationship with my son. I can't keep going on like this. What struck me is that the last Dr I saw was a regular MD however he tried to practice somewhat naturally. He recommened right off the bat I do a major food sensitivity test that he could send off for. This was after all my blood work came back and confirmed my Wheat intolerance. I am so happy to hear it has actually been the life saver of someone else and has given me the hope that this may be my answer. Can I ask who performed this test on you how was it done and how much did it cost? I am worried I cannot afford it since losing my job. Any information would be helpful.

Well I have always been quite a fit and healthy person but around 5 weeks ago I started getting vague dizzy spells. Later that week I started with night fevers, sevee leg pains and a burning sensation in my abdomen. I am still suffering 5 weeks later with dizziness, achng legs and overwhelming fatigue. I have had severe soreness around my groin that no cream sees to be able to shift. I have been to the doctor and have had blood tests etc All have come back clear. If I think about it, I have been run down for the past 3 years. I had a really severe chest infection at Christmas and have had a number of colds over the last 3 years

I am petty sure I know what is wrong with me and to be honest you guys could be suffering frm something no doctor's going to find....Electro-sensitivty. Before you laugh check out some of the websites regarding this "illness". You will discover a range of symptoms that match yours exactly. Two mobile phone masts have been erected very close to my house, my neighbours have wi-fi coming through the wall. All these things emit high levels of radiation that decrease a hormone called melatonin which aides sleep and strengthens our immune systems. Exstensive studies have been caried out which have shown people to be suffering from these symptoms, but these symptoms disappear when shielding is put up in their house or they change their environment.

A lot of scientists are asking serious questions about wi-fi and mobile phone masts and electro-sensitivity in general and it is worth considering looking into this as none of you may have any serious illness at all and changes might be able to be made that achieve a cessation of your symptoms.

I have the same symptoms and have been diagnosed with polycystic ovaries.

Hi, I was reading through these posts due to some of my own symptoms, and was wondering if any of you have been checked for Lupus? I have a very good, healthy and super athletic friend who just suddently got sick. She had a couple of different viruses anda fever for a couple of weeks, then her organs all started to have problems. Her liver would hurt, she was geting gallstones, kidney stones, a rash on her cheeks, and had no energy anymore. All her tests on these different organs came back 'normal' but she was far from normal. I saw her go downhill fast. It seems the sun, or exposure to heat would aggravate it. Stress definately made it worse (she was a student and working full time). She would have a week or so sometimes of feeling better, but still could not surf or run or do the things she loved. Then another organ or 'part' of her would start to hurt. She turned to doctors (none had the answer) and to naturalpaths (they gave her vitamins and such) and nothing worked. She finally found a young doctor who reviewed all her symptoms and said that he thought it was probably lupus, but they decided not to diagnose because of medical insurance issues so he treated her with a bunch of vitamin injections which seemed to help. She is still not to her normal self (she is 31 and just had a baby) but she felt better than ever when she was pregnant, oddly enough, and is finding how to balance her symptoms with her lifestyle. My heart goes out to her and all of you and I hope that you are able to get relief!

I know this is an old post but I too have 95% of your symptoms as well. I got sick with the flu and never really got better and it's been 5 months. I was told I may have fibromyalgia by a dr at a fibro clinic. I have all the symptoms of CFS as well. I'm sick of being sick and also have read some about PVS (Post Viral Syndrome) You could check into that too.

Weird, it seems alot of us are suffering from similar symptoms. I thought I was an anomaly.

I was really interested to read these posts. I have dry skin, chest pain, dizzy spells, headaches, swollen glands, extreme fatigue, sleep constantly, heavy periods, blurred viision and just feel like I am continually exhausted. I have rheumatoid arthritis but the many doctors I have seen say these other symptoms are not connected. They have checked several times for other things with all tests normal. Can I say that it is frustrating and effects my life everyday. I feel like I work and sleep and don't have time or energy to socialise. I know this is not an answer but maybe comfort for others to know they are not alone.

Hi there,

realising that this is a rather old posting, just wondering if you had got to the bottom of your condition??

Has addison's disease been suggested at all?

Ok.... Let's try to simplify the options... First, have you seen a Rheumatologist?

You should have your 'Epstein Barr' checked. You may have Mono. Also, your ANA (Anti-Nuclear-Antibodies) Rheumatoid Factor also.

This should have been done... If not, 'Insist' on the Epstein Barr blood test. The ANA can be falsely negative upward of 3 of 4 tests. Not uncommon. That would show other Rheumatological issues... There are a slew of other more 'exotic' blood tests they can do that take upwards of 3 weeks to get a return on... But Have all checked.

Get a referral to the rheumatologist as soon as you can. These could be from Mono (hopefully) to Lupus to other connective tissue/immunological issues.

Your TSH could be off due to several common reasons: not the least of which is if you have had a CTscan with contrast dye within the last 1 year, also if you have taken prednisone, gluco-corticoids, corticosteroids as well and can offset the TSH or TPH for up to a 1 year time frame...

There are other medicines that could mess that up too, but the MOST over looked in is Contrast Dye from ctscans... Doc's and Tech's often forget to ask, or overlook it altogether...

If you have the above info. and have had these or some of the tests done, pls let me know... If not take the action I outlined, with 'telling' your physician about whether you've had the dye, steroids, corticosteroids, gluco-corticoids, prednisone, etc...

I am interested in your response... Good luck...

p.s. to clarify TSH (is Thyroid stimulating hormone, when high means under-active thyroid) TPH is another way of the same, being thyroid producing hormone... Depends on the country, clinic, hospital or physician....

I don't know if little lady ever received an answer to her problem but, your symptoms sound like what I have. It took the docs 9 years to figure out what I have and please do not be alarmed but please have a neurologist do an MRI and check for MS Multiple Sclerosis. If treated early like you are, you can have a normal life. I spoke with a lady in her 70s who was diagnosed 45 years ago. Good luck

Sounds just like me. Let me know if they find out what it is !

But to be sure: swollen glands, fever, terrible fatigue, constant recurring throat infections, foggy or slow thinking, for about 9 months. Cleared of iron deficiencies, liver problems, glandular fever (and I was also convinced of a glandular relapse).

Not long ago, I couldn't cope and the combination of this fatigue and other life dramas triggered something like an anxiety attack. Whilst that problem is being (painfully slowly) addressed by the doc, no clue as to the physical health problem.

I want my life back. The anxiety has subsided for now, but not sure how long I can stay employed like this. It's a major effort just to wake up in the morning. I can push myself to ignore the fatigue but the symptoms (all of them !) just get worse quite rapidly.
