I'm a male, 38, regular drinker (red wine daily- usually more than what's considered moderate and I used to chew tobacco about 10 years ago for about 7 years) About a month ago I noticed a lymph node on my right side of neck, below the jaw. It feels flat but smooth, it is not noticably large unless I feel for it. I also have slight tenderness in my lower mouth behind the mandible where there is a small lump that has been there for about five years. At first I wrote it off as a symptom of my seasonal allergies, but upon researching the matter, I don't see anything stating this is a symptom of allergies. The swelling seems to be always there, but the tenderness comes and goes (perhaps based on the amount of rubbing it I do). Just trying to get a feel for what might be going on?
