I was prescribed Lisinopril at the end of August. I suffer from terrible migraines around my cycle each month, and the only thing that barely touches the pain is Excedrin and Midol. I've been taking them occasionally for headaches during the nine weeks that I was on Lisinopril, but this week I had one of the worst migraines ever. I took two capsules of Excedrin or Midol every 4 hours, and must have taken 8 that day....only to find out that NSAIDS should never be taken with this medicine, as it can cause kidney problems.
I did read the paperwork that comes with the medication, but I must have missed it (it was on page two). It's not on the bottle. I already suffer from anxiety, and am so worried about this. I did call the pharmacy, but she didn't seem to be too concerned. Should I be worried?
I was on Lisinopril for 9 long weeks, and it was a nightmare. I suffered from so many symptoms. I was driving once, and started seeing zig zagged shiny lines. I had many symptoms, but the worst was the anxiety and terribly panic attacks. I felt like I was trapped inside a small box, it was terrible. And my heart was constantly racing. Brought down my blood pressure a bit, but nothing really significant. I took myself off of it, as of yesterday (I let the doctor know). Mine is on the lower side of high (around 140/90 -ish w/out medication), so I'm going to try to make lifestyle changes first and see what happens. If that doesn't work, I'll try a water pill. Just a heads-up for anyone thinking about going on this medication. Everyone is different, but I wish I would've read many things about this medicine before I started. I never would have agreed to go on it.
