Authorities in New York City suspect that several funeral parlors citywide have been removing bone, skin and tendons from corps and selling them for profit without their families’ consent.
Authorities believe the number of carved corps reaches a couple of hundreds.

To make things worse, some of the stolen body parts are thought to be diseased, and could infect patients who received them in skin grafts, dental implants or other orthopedic procedures. On top of things, these procedures are concealed with doctor’s forged signatures and false information.

Indictments could be handed up early next year to half dozen funeral homes and Biomedical Tissue Services, who are suspected of making profits by conspiring to sell stolen body parts.

New York City is not the only place where these hideous crimes are taking place. Similar events have been reported in New Jersey, Florida, Georgia and Texas. At least two patients in Canada are suspected to have received dental implants. They will be immediately tested for HIV, hepatitis and other infectious diseases.

Cases of bacterial, hepatitis C and other infections have been reported from procedures in which patients received donated organs.
I can see why this is happening when in an area of lots of people and poverty and illegal immigrants when needing medical attention there could be no other solutions except for this because of long waits of bieng on lists or simply haveing no money or med insurance. If you had a son or daughter who needed medical attention and could even face death and you have no money or anything would you resort to doing things that are in the article above? If you need organs for an operation certian gangs can even be payed in big citys to get organs for you. For example, a healthy kid, mabye yours can be killed on the street just for an organ.
