Thick brown discharge, doesn't look like blood.

I've had exactly the same problem. Im so releaved its not just me!!
I go the contrasptive implante last november and was on my period constantly for 2 months,
I went to the doctor and she prescribed me the pill to stop the bleeding.
After i finnish i didnt start bleeding till 2 months ago and have been since.
After 3 weks of started again i got the horrible brown heavy discharge stuff!
and i have no idea what it is.. but ive made a doctors appointment so hopfuly ill find out soon!

But one of my friends told me she had the same thing and it was due to a unknown misscarage which and then got an infection!

hey im 22yrs old and have a 16mnth old son i had a period 10 days early now on the date i was supposed to get my period im gettin thik mucus discharged it started out as pale pink wiv dots of blood now its brown mucus it almost looks like a show for those who have experienced pregnancy im very regular and have a 28 day cycle i do have unprotected sex with my husband,i also have slight cramps my boobs arnet really that sore i am very tired but just put it dwn to early mornings i would like to be preg but am i hoping or is it yet anuva period to come as i shud really get anuva on nov22 if i go off my last early period plz help any ideas x

i have had the exact same problem ... but i'm glad to inform you that i know why it happens ... i asked my doctor and he said it's only just because the circle of period gets bigger.... nothing to worry about tottaly healthy :P

I'm going through the same thing. My husband had side effects from it as well. Come to find out we both have hpv. It comes from us women who have cervical cancer. So if you are showing signs like this get yourself checked asap and try to refrain from sexual activities until then

Hey, if it smells bad you may need to get to a doctor, I've been reading up about this and it says if it dark brown and it has a foul smell you need to go to the doctor, hope they can tell you what wrong. X

Hi, im 16 years old nearly 17 and I have also been getting dark brown, almost black discharge. But it does not smell at all. Also, Ive been having really weird periods. One week I'm really heavy and I use two boxes of tampax and the next Im only on from 1 hour to 2 days. I am also late every month. Ive not been well these last few weeks, every night I'm near enough sick or have diarreah. Now I know it sounds horrible but I've been constipated for the last two weeks. I keep having stomach cramps and sharp pains. I was last on my period two weeks ago and I had some light spotting when I came off but I've never bled randomally, so far away from my period before. It may just be cleaning, I just want to be sure. I am sexually active with my partner of nearly 3 years and there was also 4 weeks that I forgot to take my pill. In addition, I have never bled whilst ovulating before, I usually get a cloudy white discharge. I have been tested for std's and sti's so I'm clear with that one.

wow! i have the same problem! i got the depo shot oct. 25th had unprotected sex the next day and a lot after that. i noticed the discharge the 10th and then had sex the next day.... im really worried. i know ive had this after my period but not this bad. i have other symptons of pregnancy and it cant be an std. im 18 and I REALLY NEED HELP!

I looked it up online and it can be a sympton of pregnancy!:/

I'm going through a similar situation..My periods ended last week sunday and monday,my boyfriend and I had sex!I was fine after that until this monday..I started getting brown thich discharge and it hurts a little and when it first came I got little pains on my abdomen...what could this be..I told my bf about it and he thinks I should get it checked out...what am i to do?

This is so scary to me im almost 13 and I have this too... I don't know what to do. I'm not sexually active so it can't be HPV/Cervical Cancer ... I rarely use tampons too so idk. I'm really confused and I really don't want to tell my mom... What do I do?
