Suzie, how are you doing now? I am afraid to get a tonsillectomy but I would only be getting it on one side. I have a large tonsil stone on that one side that needs to be removed but they apparently can’t get it out without removing the whole tonsil. The ENT mentioned scar tissue thing to me making it worse for my swallowing but another ENT said it wouldn’t effect my swallowing so I can’t decide. I keep on getting infections from it as well but I am wondering if it’s worth getting that over not swallowing since I think I already have scar tissue in my throat from GERD. How are you now? Did the scar tissue eventually go away and is your swallowing normal now?

Omgggggg I had surgery the end of October (2024) and HAAAAATEE the feeling in my throat. Horrible dry mouth and like a dry patch in the back I’m just hating it. I NEED it to get better. Let me know if you ever got better please
