I had sex 6 days ago .. my period is supposed to start tomorrow but i havent been cramping like i always do before i start .. is it too early to take a test?
That's down to the test you elect to take. Read up online for the manufacturer's specifications.
There is at least one test that has been noted on here as being effective up to five days before your period, but in this case, that's just one day after sex - a clairvoyant would be a better bet in that case. (And that's not to knock clairvoyance.)
You're going to have to check with the various test manufacturers' websites, and check their specifications. They went to a lot of trouble to get them certified, so they'll have the best information.
Given your hurry, you'll be looking for an absolute number of days before the test is effective (ie: how long it takes for your body to produce enough of the hormone they're testing to register - read how and why they work); and a relative number (timing, re: missed period).
