I'm in a long distance relationship with someone I've known for two years and we've never met. Although, he has asked a number of times to meet him, I've always been too nervous. We live six hours away from one another and I've never questioned who he really is until recently. I've started wondering if he's even real, or if he's the person who he says he is. I make myself cry over the things I think and I've reached a point where I can't take it anymore. We talk on the phone a lot and he doesn't have a manly voice but its not very feminine either. I think I'm at the point in life where I think everything is pointless and I just want to end it. I've broken up with him, ten minutes ago and if he's real then it's the biggest mistake I've probably ever made but idk if I can handle my thoughts anymore.

Meeting someone for the first time from online can be pretty nerve-wrecking. How old are you? When I was younger I dated a guy long distance for about a year before we met in person, I was extremely nervous and I'm a pretty shy person at first but you'll never know if you don't do it? You just need to be safe about it.

If you are unsure whether what he says about himself is true, bite the bullet and meet him. Meet him in a public place, me I like to try and do a drive by of where we are meeting so I can at least see what the person looks like. I actually just met a guy yesterday for the first time that I've been taking to for about a month online and it went good. You just need to be safe and be smart. You also have to remember people can be completely different in person compared to how they are online or long-distance. If you really like him now be prepared to see some changes in person. I would say give it a shot, don't be paranoid, feeling nervous is normal but just hold your chin up, go in a public area and if it's wrong then leave. Also if you are younger be sure you tell someone family or a close friend who and where you are meeting just to be safe!

Hope this helps, good luck!
