I posted this on my FB earlier and thought I'd share it here. Feel free to add to it if you have some good ones I'm misssing.

Walt's top 5 reasons to run your long run in a storm:

5) The wind and rain work together to create a natural cooling effect.
4) Plashing through puddles gives your legs an extra burst of cooling power.
3) Your calves get a much better workout because an 8oz running shoe doubles in weight when it’s waterlogged.
2) Your hips get a much better workout trying to compensate for burnt out calves.
And finally...
1) You don’t have to get annoyed by constantly running around all the walkers, “joggers”, bicyclers, etc. They’re either still asleep or looking out their windows thinking “awe gee, it’s too bad there’s a storm, I guess I’ll stay inside today”.

15 miles this morning and I think I only said hello to 3-4 people...all RUNNERS! :D
