Hello. I'm 23 year old female and just recently I have found out that I'm pregnant. I decided to keep a baby and to prepare my self for this unique experience.
I have read of lot of material about possible complications of pregnancy and condition that could occur in pregnancy and the most frequent word was- toxemia. What exactly is this condition? Is there anything I could do to avoid this from happening?
Can anyone tell me more about possible causes and symptoms of this pregnancy disorder! I was also wondering can it cause miscarriage.

Hello. I was also worried about this condition you’ve mentioned and I did a small research on my own.
I have found out that the other term for it is blood poisoning. No one really knows how this condition occur so you really can't do anything to avoid it. The most common symptoms are sudden, high fever, chills, rapid heartbeat and appearing and feeling seriously ill.
High blood pressure is also predominant symptom.
Toxemia starts to develop as your placenta begins to develop. Some women, because of very high blood pressure, suffered from a stroke. It is very serious disease and it is very important to follow your doctor's orders strictly if you developed this disease.
Good luck!
