I have a question for you regarding my medical status. Increasing Triglycerides and their effect on my heart disease. I have a bypass implanted last year and since then I have tried to live somewhat healthy life, with strict diets and long walks (no exercises, considering the surgery and my age – 49). Still, I cannot lower the triglycerides level. Why? Should I be taking some medicament for that?
Well, most of the doctors would say that you belong to a so-called above risk category. You said that you are taking long walks, perhaps that is not enough, maybe you should try some very light exercises. You said that you are on a strict diet, change it, try a new one. Leave alcohol, if you already have not. Check out for diabetes, which can cause high level of triglycerides.
