After going through a rough time on the Implanon and having several pregnancy scares with the Nuvaring, I finally want to conceive a baby, however, I feel as if my experiences with birth controls since my first child was born may have affected my fertility. Soon after my son was born, I was put on the Nuvaring in an attempt to delay any more children. Me and my partner had multiple scares, so we switched to the Implanon 7 months later. I went through 11 months of hell with blackouts, mood swings, irregular periods (on all levels, time, flow etc.), nausea, and faint spells before demanding they take it out of my arm. I immediately went back on the Nuvaring. I have recently been trying to conceive again, however, I cannot seem to do so. After my cycle, I went off the Nuvaring, and not only did I get my period and 2 negative pregnancy tests, my flow was heavier than it has been since my son was born and shorter than any periods I have had... ever. Could my experience have caused infertility? If yes, is it permanent? If no, Why can't I seem to conceive?
