I have had the same probelm too. I know that it can't be a STD because I'm still a virgin. But from a very young age I, err... learnt how to masturbate and realised that the fishy smell in my teens. Sometimes it comes as a slight clearless discharge that stinks, but it only seems to come when I excessively masturbate, or get my penis in contact with chemicals like detergent or whatnot. It isn't very frequent though, and the smell comes perhaps once a month, even though I wash frequently.

hey people. so about a year ago my penis started developing this nasty smell like fish which was disgusting and was making me depressed as im only 22 and i love blowjobs! so smelling bad down there was not good at all. also i had some redness and cracked skin, but it didnt hurt or itch, the only thing that bothered me was the smell really. i use to wash all the time to try to get it to go away and leave my foreskin back letting my penis try out thinking that would help. WRONG! i thought it was balantis, psoriosis, an std, you name it, i thought i had it. how wrong i was...

so after 4 times of going to the doctor... 2 told me nothing was wrong, 1 gave me something to try but didnt work, and the 4th one refered me to a dermotoligist. i had tests and stuff done before that for std's and such so were negative so it wasnt any of that. anyway i got the dermo referal (about a month ago, so i did have the smell for a year before anything was done) and the doctor simply told me to stop washing it. water actually isnt good for your penis head as it can upset the balance thats going on under there. he prescribed me a cream for the redness and a cream for washing. but i havent needed them!!!

ive literally stopped fussing over it, i dont pull my foreskin back, i dont wash it in the bath or shower, whatever, ive just been leaving my foreskin alone... (the only time it comes back sometimes is during masturbation) and what do you know.... THE SMELL HAS GONE!!!! its been as simple as that. ive been stressing over this for a year and to find that its such a simple cure. im relieved to say the least. so if you have a fishy nasty smell and youre washing it all the time and fussing over it. STOP! LEAVE IT ALONE! and definetly NO WATER!

i know what a downer this can be if you have this problem so id thought id post my story and maybe its as simple a cure for you guys to.
maybe someone will gain something. let me know if this helps anyone. literally i just stopped washing and within a week or 2 i had a normal smelling penis again. awesome.

to the responder that is having trouble moving his foreskin back. research 'balanitis'... it can be caused by soaps and over drying of the under skin.
washing is best. just washing with water (no soap) is best really. soap only every other day at most... to prevent over drying.

I had this problem for the last 2/3 years and i tried everything. Clotrimazole cream, Daktarin cream, none of them worked properly and the smell kept coming back. I went to the doctors a couple weeks back and they prescribed me with some Hibitane Obstretic Cream, i used it 3 nights in a row, then not use it for 3 nights, then back on for 3 nights, then off for 3 nights etc.... anyway this worked for me the smell hasnt returned and has changed my life, hope you can get your hands on some but you'll have to go to your doctor!!

Hi I am 17 Yrs old and alike helpmeeee i get the odor whenever i get an erection and this is embarrassing when i go to have intercourse with my GF also there are little bumps along the back side of my penis head. this is natural the bumps are from blood vessels expanding as you became a man your genitalia changed. the odor is a combination of things. first its kind of weird but trim your pubic hair back this helps with cleanliness if you have ever wondered why armpit sweat and crotch sweat smelled worse than say forehead sweat it is because when these areas sweat they secrete a lot more body oils, shorter pubic hair will transfer less residue to the foreskin. Next when you master bait or when you are thinking about it or even sometimes you just have what is called night emissions this is what is referred to as pre-cum you notice it if you are slow to climax. this fluid is meant to protect the semen and sperm from the urine that is in the urethra(the tube that ends at your penis) once it meets up with the seminal vesicle(the duct that ejaculation comes from) this fluid takes up to 30 minutes to fully come out if you do not ejaculate, and it also comes out after you ejaculate. the lotions and creams do not work. and if you are like me and as i understand most uncircumcised men you move the foreskin back and forth when you master bait, this scrubs off dead skin cells that become smegma (white stuff that forms under foreskin). you can use a soft lufa to exfoliate the area as well as a bar of dove. soap leaves a film that dries on surface skin but in the folds of your body become putrid, dove is not soap so it will not leave film. do not use body wash i love it it moisturizes and conditions your skin and it smells amazing but it not only leaves film behind but it also leaves moisturizers behind and that only exacerbates the problem. I have a bottle of Irish spring and a bar of dove and i actually use a soft old scrap of a t-shirt as a washcloth for my penis and all of these things have almost eliminated the odors.



don't just leave it be because the opening of the foreskin will shrink and give you problems it is a good idea to ll the skin back every time you urinate just to keep it from tightening

Many of u guys may want to try giving the area more air by wearing cotton boxers and loose pants, try as much as possible to wear as little clothes as possible when u can. also change ur diet by drinking lots of water and cranberry juice, u should also eat a yogurt a day. This smell most likely is a build up of bad bacteria in the area. This happens to women too. wash twice a day and dry thoughrouly.

Yes i suffer from this problem to. I have did some research on the web and it is most likely a "Yeast infection" , if you notice small spots on the end of your Foreskin or your penis has a white clumpy (almost like smegma) discharge what smells like Fish it is most likely that. I have however heard that antibiotics will take care of that , Or sitting in a salty bath once a day for a period of 15 - 20 minutes for 2 - 3 weeks should take care of it. However If this matter gets worse you Should contact your doctor immediately. I am going through what you are going through at this moment and i hope this helps you.;-)

I have the solution to penis odor; it is simple and cheap.

There have been a lot of questions about penis odor and a lot of completely bogus answers such as circumcision being the only solution. I am not circumcised and have always noticed a bad smell even after washing.  Now there is absolutely no smell.  How?  The smell is caused by bacteria.  Washing removes some of the bacteria but doesn't kill it.  You need an antibiotic for this.  A common household antibiotic such as Neosporin that you may use on a small cut works well.  I use a generic antibiotic from a local drugstore which works fine.  After washing I apply a small amount all around the head.  Doing this about once a week completely eliminates the odor.  I don't get any adverse reaction to the antibiotic but if you try this, watch carefully to see that you don't get a rash, itching, etc.

guys im 16 and have had a fair few doctors about a few penis problems like phimosis and burnt balls (dont ask). its not so embarrassed to see a doctor about this kind of thing, ITS APART OF THEIR EVERYDAY WORK THEY SEE IT ALL THE TIME. your country is most likely to have a top health system and you could probably see a doctor for close to nothing. if something like this feels an issue to you and your worried about some peoples insensitive responses, just take a half hour of your time and get the doctor to have a look.
