I'm in the Marines and have a member that has had 3 episodes of"passing -out" He is a good worker but some of my higher command believe he may be faking it. I don't think so though. Here are the situations: he was found 2x in his closet on the floor and once in his restroom on the floor unconscious. Paramedics were called each time and he was brought to the hospital. These all happened in a 2 month span. His urine, blood and toxicology all came back fine. He appeared non-responsive to most things. Light would dialate his eyes, slightly flinch when flicked at and a couple other test showed that he should be able to wake up. But, his was given smelling salt little response, a cathetar put in with no response and a nasal tube put in with little to no response. First episode he was out for atleast 6 hours second was out for nearly 40 and third was out for nearly 20. The last thing he remember is doing ordinary things in those areas. All three times he was found in those areas with the door locked, including the closet. I don't think there is any abnormal stress involved. 20% of me think hes faking and 0 says something is wrong. He seems to be a good Marine and I think this may be one of those rare problems that few people know about and the solution is only stumbled across by accident. I may be missing a few details so if anyone has ever heard of something similar to this or can point me in a direction I would greatly appreciate it.
