Hey - so did you ever find a 'fix' for this condition? I have the exact same problem.

Hi,
Good summary. My leakage problem started about 1 week after a 1 week's course of Clindamycin.
Interestingly, since I took that antibiotic, I have had medium back pain (first time ever), have severe anxiety at times, and also suffer from the groin area tenderness that you describe.
Still not sure what to do to resolve the problem.

Hello. Thought i'd share my experience.
Had this problem since last October and has been getting me down so much. I believe mine came on after triple therapy for H.Pylori. Tried everything and no luck until i found Health Aid Psyllium Husk Fibre that i purchased from Amazon. I don't thinkthis is a perm solution but it's the next best thing. Since i have been taking it (approx 3-4 weeks ago)i have had no "major leakage" whatsover. In fact i have been very dry. You can still feel that allis not 100% better but i feel confident now and seem to be 95%. My worry is that if i stop taking it then the problems will appear again; maybe it's just me being paranoid.
I think the underlying factor is that the intestinal gut flora is out of sync. To remedy would need a strict diet and low on sugar's etc... and a good dose of probiotics. I have tried the Cranberry, Garlic and probiotics on there own and they don't work for me...
Good luck

Thank you all for posting your great ideas on this. I wanted to add that I had all the same symptoms. For me it turned out to be my Fish Oil. My doctor recommended that I take a Fish Oil nightly along with other vitamins. I was certain that it had to do with something I was eating and that was it. Less than a week after I stopped taking it, the problem cleared up. Now I am back on the other vitamins OK. Not sure if this is the same for everyone else, but I wanted to share anyway.

I'm still struggling, but not as much. "Incomplete evacuation" is how I would put it, too, and I have still not quite figured it out. My doctors had noted clusters of hemorrhoids, so I ended up going to a colorectal surgeon four times, for rubber banding of the four major clusters, which he also thought was holding fecal matter in. Now that it's done and the clusters are gone, I really can't say I've noticed a difference. A little matter still sometimes gets caught, and a little may come out later in the day.
Things that aggravate it include: spicy foods, excess alcohol, stress, hunger, prolonged sexual stimulation, uncontrolled laughter (especially absurd humor). The common thing in most of these is anything that causes the anal sphincter to spasm; that seems to push matter out a little. And also, a big factor does seem to be the hair in that area. If the fecal matter or leakage gets caught in the hair, it causes irritation which only gets worse when walking.
I've used different ointments and creams, but I think their main benefit is pulling the offending matter off of the hair, thus reducing the irritation. Also, if the irritation gets so bad that it bleeds after walking, I find some kind of petroleum jelly product helps to heal it; however, that jelly also can heat up the area, allowing even more matter to leak out, so it becomes kind of a vicious cycle until I sit still for a long time or until I've had a night's sleep.
What I'm doing more now, though it sounds unpleasant, is to lightly wet my fingers and gently brush the hair to clean it a bit (toilet paper is irritating in itself for me, it seems). Sounds horrible, I know, but it seems to work, and I wash my hands thoroughly, reminding myself that mothers with young babies have to deal with this a lot, too!
I also take a small spoonful of psyllium husk fiber every day, which keeps things a little more solid. The more solid the bowel movement, the better.
I don't know if having the hair back there is good (because it holds back matter that otherwise would leak more freely) or bad (because it may be preventing all the matter from coming out and creating the irritation in the first place). All I know is that occasionally I'll trim a little bit, and if any stray hairs stick to the skin, that's also very irritating.
My experience won't apply to everyone, but I hope it helps someone. I'm still experimenting, but things are better than they were.

Probiotics didn't work for me (I tried three different ones), but I know they work for many people.
