I have felt this when I was younger more often but only a few times a year now that Im 21. All the symptoms presented in the other cases also apply to me as well..I can't believe that I found others who feel this strange feeling...Thanks everyone for the Comfort of knowing im not alone..LOL..Take care

Wow, I never realized others got this sensation as well?
I've had them for as long as I can remember, usually happen 2-3 times a year but have been experiencing them more frequently. I have had some problems recently with low blood sugar so that might be something in my case. These sensations actually frighten me and I have to close my eyes and control my breathing, it seems as everything is moving at light speed, even small movements and I have to keep as still as possible. It normally only lasts for a few minutes. Maybe I should keep a small pack of sugar with me?? I also get the size thing, objects can be like huge or small or even both?? It's very weird.

I posted here earlier but I'm coming back to ask a question. Do any of you suffer from any sort of anxiety disorders, even if you don't experience the "fast feeling" anymore? I stopped having these sensations many years ago but now at age seventeen, I suffer from a lot of anxiety problems.

I feel like I could have been traumatized by the "fast feeling" as a kid =/

haha I kinda miss them too. I've had them a few times in my teenage years, but never as intense as when I was a kid. No one ever understood what it was when I tried to explain it...

Don't know why we have this... I was diagnosed with ADD- Inattentive type as a child.

I posted here earlier as well and have a question. Did anyone feel like everything was "quiet" or calm before this happened to them?

Guys... I'm pretty sure what we have is Alice in Wonderland Syndrome. Most people with it usually have distortion of sizes(feeling like growing or shrinking), while most everyone here has had distortion of time. I more frequently had the time distortion, but I also had the size distortion. However, it only happened when I was in bed trying to sleep, or even as part of my dreams(which were very frightening, vivid, and disturbing). I had nightmares of the "fast feeling" too. But I think they're both the same syndrome. Some people have only distortion of shapes and sizes, while some only have distortion of time, and some have both. The symptoms and all seem too similar.

By the way, there's a pretty big community on this forum site for people that have Alice In Wonderland Syndrome. Some people there have had the symptoms we're describing, and some have other strange symptoms that I had as a child but had completely forgotten until I read about it.

guys i have had this same feeling, mostly when i was younger i think.i dont remember having it in a while. i enjoy it tho so i never really thought much of it. I have got the weird tongue feeling too, just a couple nights ago. it's like my tongue is small or something; and the room feeling really big,or small, or i feel really small, I've had all that too. It's weird. id love to know what it is...i do, i think, only get the small feeling when i am lying in bed tho

The fast feeling tho, would just happen whenever. i remember one specific time when i was younger and i was walking home and just when i was at my driveway it hit me;all of a sudden it seemed like i was moving really fast...(and when i got these it feels like i am walking, talking, moving, thinking, doing everything really quickly)... i remember walking into the kitchen and i still felt like this as i talked to my mother. i didnt mention anything to her, and i dont think she noticed me acting strangely. but i do remember that i had to check myself,or stop and think, to make sure that i wasnt actually doing anything faster than normal.i couldnt quite discern if i was in fact doing things faster or not..

i also think i might be a little crazy tho, like maybe bipolar or something but i dont know. ive never got checked out or anything.

TTTTTTTTTThis is weird lol, I used to get the same thing, same as my dad, He said that its probably just going through growing up, I dont think its anything serious but its interesting, my brother also used to have alice in wonderland syndrome a little, my dad has pretty bad anxiety and I have asthma; all things mentioned before, but it would be really cool if we all had some crazy superhero powers hahaa. ya but same thing:
everything going really really fast
everything(esp hands and mouth) feeling really small and really big at the same time (its weird bc when my mom tried to comfort me by rubbing my back once, I knew it was my mind messed up but I could actually FEEL her rubbing my back SUPERRR fast && when you go to walk it off you have to go really slow b/c every step/move you take is going really fast)
happening right before bed or waking you up from sleeping
maybe everyone gets it, but i asked some friends and they all had NO idea what I was talking aboutt
im 17 &haven't had it happen really bad for a couple years, but when im lying in bed sometimes i start to feel the familiar feeling of really big really small, but when i get the feeling i cant remember why its familiar&& I do sorta miss it which is weird b/c when it happens its scary
hope this was helpful&& thanks for this post! :0)
